Driving back to FLA on route 17, we happened on this lovely little chapel north of Brunswick. It was set back in the shade, but we could easily see it from the road. We stopped and went in, not sure if it was locked or not. It was so nice and quiet and very very tiny. There is an altar and chairs enough for about 12 people, 2 by 2. The guest books show many, many people who've stopped for a brief respite from driving. Letters and statues and personal effects are left. There is a light sensor on the door and it goes on when opened, and off when closed. What a charming, charming place. It was built in 1949 by Agnes Harper who deeded it to Christ. It is well kept and and unmolested along the highway. Very peaceful indeed.
