Other than possibly the BeltLine, there simply are no bike paths like this anywhere in the ATL metro area. They say they are residents only, but I have never had a problem. You can easily take your bike and park it at many places and have lunch. Just have to be creative finding your way around. Hint: Peachtree Parkway is the spinal cord of the path system, and a good place to start out is at the bike shop on Joel Cowan Boulevard in the Target Shopping Center. Called Tech.

Am not a golfer, but would be lost without my golf cart. Can get to the grocery store faster than in the car, plus it is a much more scenic and peaceful trip. Wish the city would do a better job of taking care of them, know money is always an excuse, but think politics have a lot to do with which paths get repaved first. My only complaint, still a convenient and safe way to get around.

The cart paths are a jewel to be appreciated and not normally present in a community.But....we need citizens to take responsibility when operating bikes, golf carts, etc to watch out for walkers and joggers. So enjoy the paths, but BEWARE of the selfish users who don't take their responsibility seriously.

Spent Valentine weekend in Peachtree city, and the vacation rental we rented came with a golf cart. The kids especially enjoyed the ride on the golf cart. I would definitely love to visit Peachtree city again !!

We love the paths. They're called golf cart paths by the cart people. They're called bike paths by the bikers. Jogging paths by the joggers and walking paths by the walkers.Walkers should use EXTREME caution as the golf carts are absolutely hazardous. Local ordnance requires the use of a bicycle type bell to warn of their approach. It isn't enforced and probably less than 2% of carters comply. They'll sneaky-Pete up behind you (startling you) or go whistling by at a high rate of speed and way too close. Few drivers have any consideration.

A unique experience. As a resident, I request all please be courteous and realize that you are entitle to half the pavement. The paths are not well marked, but the locals are friendly and happy to assist. If you are venturing out for the first time, take a map and orient yourself to the compass rose and the general direction of major roadways. Crossing the Parkway, 54, Robinson, etc will serve as good landmarks depending on the area you are exploring.

You can get anywhere FROM anywhere, without taking the car, through the woods. They are what puts Peachtree City on Forbes' "Best Places to Live" list on a consistent basis.

We have scoped out many neighborhoods and towns and have found no place that even comes close to Peachtree City in regards to the path system. My wife and run several days per week on the paths. We have a 9 mile running loop in which we only cross one street! Every other street we are able to pass through via path tunnel or bridge! And, there are so many trees that almost all 9 miles of our run are in the shade. Now, there are 90 miles of paths, we just enjoy a 9 mile loop near our house. It is so pleasant to see other runners, walkers, and bikers out on the paths. Almost everyone, including teenagers, offer a wave or a nod when passing each other on the paths. If you need to be outside and exercise, it is hard if not impossible, to beat the Peachtree City path system.

Peachtree City is a planned city and the ninety miles of paved golf cart paths were part of the plan. Almost every family owns a golf cart which is used for shopping, going to restaurants, going to school, going to almost any destination within the town, for recreation, and of course for golf. The paths are wonderful for cycling, walking the dogs, or walking on one's own, and for running. Visitors to the town enjoy riding on golf carts as it is a wonderful way to see the neighbourhoods and other sights such as the several lakes in the town. Fireflies can be seen when driving around on a summer's evening. In December one wraps up warmly and then drives around on a golf cart to view the beautiful Xmas lights that residents have used to decorate their homes. The same happens for Halloween.A warning - one has to be extra careful during school holidays, when teenagers are inclined to travel recklessly at speed, despite a speed limit. When walking one also has to be vigilant as golf carts travel very silently and are not always equipped with a horn or bicycle bell, which a driver could use as a warning. of his approach.

I can't say enough about the fun and convenience of the golf cart paths in Peachtree City. We stayed at the Wyndham and traveled EVERYWHERE via golf cart. We even went to the bank drive through and a McDonald's drive through. Once you get used to the fact that everyone travels this way, it's super fun!We drove for hours and discovered hidden gems around the city. A park, a lake, and other quiet places to stop and take a breath. The majority of the paths are well cared for. Safety is taken into consideration. They have stop signs, speed bumps and other safety measures in place. My favorite thing...specialty golf cart parking right in front of many locations. You just can't do that with a car!

We truly enjoy our cart paths and use them to go shopping, dining out, and just for fun. We found that when our kids were growing up, it was a great way to spend time together and to catch-up with what's really happening in their lives. There's just something about riding around on a golf cart in the dark that brings out subjects that don't seem to come up over the dinner table. Now that they're gone, it's also true with my wife and me. It's just a great way to relax and talk.

One of the greatest things about living in Peachtree City is the network of golf cart paths. Most wind through lovely woods full of birds, squirrels, and deer. With the wind blowing through your hair as you drive along these scenic paths, it's hard to be in a bad mood. I also enjoying walking for exercise along the paths in the mornings. It's great not to have to worry about cars. Biking is a breeze, too, especially in the southern half of town where there are few steep hills. Not sure how to get to your destination on the paths? Just use Google Maps on your phone, tell it you're on a bike, and the app will lead you there.

After 32 years, we finally got a golf-cart, and we are loving it!!! So much more to see than just driving by in a car!!!

I wish that more cities would have this type of vision for their own benefit. Lot of forest, less pollution, no rush, no traffic, etc., and if you pay attention you may discover a deer in your way!The people is very kind also!
