the mall at stonecrest

This mall was a great idea to give East Atlanta residents a shopping alternative to a degraded South Dekalb Mall. It took years in the planning stages and many more under construction. It began well but it lost its luster and spark after years of reduced sales volumes and a slowdown on the area's development. Some of the good restaurants are still around, but others have closed with no replacements. The indoor/outdoor food court is dead and nothing seems to make it come alive.

Went over to kill time, but actually really enjoyed the mall. Ate at the food court and shopped afterwards. Felt safe there too.

Ive seen better..... The food court needs better eating places... But they have a kid play area where most parents hang out....

It is a nice mall but there needs to be more variety of stores..It was packed with people but many store fronts are still empty from the recesssion...
