Wonderful BBQ and service. The sides are also very good. History is all over the walls in frames.Neat place we will stop be everytime we are up this way.

This restaurant has very good bbq. Behind it is a very noticeable hill with different colored piggy signs. I think it's people's names. Interesting décor inside and out! Kids will like it

Food was ok (nothing to write home to mom about). Although portions are substantial prices are kinda high for what it is.

The food wasn't bad. Tasted good. Sides above average. Commercial and house sauces available. It was pretty pricey though for what it was.

We were looking at property in the area and "stumbled" across this gem. It's definitely a place for good ole boys to come....very rustic and probably hasn't had a face lift ever but perhaps that's part of the charm. Our barbeque chicken with baked potato and green beans was good and filling. Friends had "Jakes Special" pork sliders with sweet potato fries and barbeque pork plate said the brunswick stew did not disappoint. This restaurant is above Ellijay and is actually in Cherry Log so follow the signs to "town" off 515. We didn't see the town. Famous folks have eaten here it appears and were quite taken with the ice tea as we were also.

The first time I stopped, it was to find out about Pig Hill. I'm happy to report the BBQ is pretty good!

Been eating at Col. Pooles BBQ for almost 15 years. The Pig Hall Of Fame is an added attraction. Hundreds of plywood pigs with customers and visitors names on them adorn the hill around and behind Col.Pooles. Eat great BBQ and buy a pig to immortalize your visit!

I had eat here several years ago and I really don't remember what the food tasted like. My wife and I decided to try the food as we were going thru the area. I wish we had not stopped here. The food quality has gone down. We both had Heartburn from Hell. Never again.

Pooles always has the best bar-b-q as far as we are concerned! It's a very unique place and the Colonel is quite the guy!

Our first trip here and looking to buy property. My wife got the chicken and I got the pork. Both were great. REAL sweet tea. The fried apple pies made us come back again. VERY friendly people and a nice country charm atmosphere. Will be a regular place for us once we move.

Bar b que was barely good enough to call itself BBQ. People who think this is the best BBQ have never tasted good BBQ.

The food was good. Pork was smoked well, sauces were runny, but they had political banners everywhere. The pig plaques were cute though. And it was a local business. So I would recommend a one time stop. Skip the bbq and get the mac and cheese.

Great food and service, feels like going to grandparents for a bar b q. Brunswick stew is the best i've ever had and i am a huge bar b q fan. pork sandwiches are great and the ribs are excellent.

Haven't been there for a while but bbq was always good and affordably priced and everyone knows the landmark to meet you there.
