A must see! The water is so amazingly clear with a beautiful aqua colour. The caves are fun to traverse and swim in. A real exotic treat. A must for pictures and memories eternal.

When not crowded with tourist boats, its amazing to see this work of nature. Visit in the early morning hours to avaod crowds and when the sea its calm.

We hired a boat and stopped in on our way to Zanjice, what a great experince. Swimming into the cave was great, plenty or rock formations to climb up on and rest if needed.

Very nice experience. We were lucky to visit it in the morning and out of main season, as the cave is not that large. Worth seeing and have a good swim.

I expected the blue grotto to be very blue, there was some blue light reflected onto the walls but it wasn't amazing. The water in this area is very blue and it was very blue in the cave but there were so many boats that any majestic feeling was lost.

Well worth a trip as there will not be many nicer waters to swim in. Aim for an early visit to avoid to many other boats.

Terrific place for swimming but the other boats made the swim uncomfortable.Best to visit early or outside peak season

To spend some time in Herceg Novi or its surrounding during summer, and not to go to Blue cave, simply mustn't happen. Many boats can take you there, or they may take you to Zanjic (where you usually stay the whole day) , and from there are separate tours (1-1.5 hours excursion) to Blue cave. Its name tells it all, unbelievably clean and blue and unusual

...and crystal blue it is. Well worthy of a visit! And while you're there, make sure to visit the peaceful Mirista beach with its incredibly clear water. Relax, go for a swim and enjoy a delicious fish meal in their restaurant by the beach!

Lovely trip from the marina. leaves at 10am and we returned about 6pm. We paid 32 euros for family of 4. Nice swim off the boat in the caves. Good value.

Take a small boat from the long pier At Herceg-Novi at 9 in the morning.. Go to Zanice beach via some small harbours. Stay on the beach (swimming shoes needed!) for an hour or two. Take the same boat to Plava Spilja. About 5 other boats will go too, all of them play music while people jump into the water in the Grotto and swim. Fun!Pretty place, quite cheap to get to and takes most of the day.

take a boat from the pier near La Bamba club - its well worth the trip, the cave and water are really pretty.

We decided to take our own speedboat from the harbour price EUR 100. A little too expensive but great fun sailing with a fast boat. You need a guide out there as sailing into the cave cannot be recommended without a guide. You can also take a boat with a small 5hp engine - that would take a long time and with a price of EUR 60 we decided the speedboat to be great.

It's worth to take a trip to Miriste beach on Lustica Peninsula, and a rent a boat from there. Then it's only 15 minutes to the cave, and with a little bit of luck you can be there without others.

We were in Herceg Novi performing at the Suncane Skale festival and decided to stay for a week. We rented a boat from Pajo with two skippers and they took us to various beaches including the Blue Grotto. We were able to jump off the boat and swim in it. We put on our snorkeling gear and explored the underwater wonder. It was beautiful but due to the numerous amounts of boats that visit it, the grotto smelled like gasoline. The other caverns nearby were better to swim in since most tour boats skip them. I highly suggest renting a boat since you would be able to view all the spots you like.
