Pleasant large green park. Some of the tiling and statuettes were a bit damaged which was a pity. It is no Park Guell !

In the middle of a great town like Seville, there's a great garden where you can enjoy the nature, the fresh air and beautiful trees and gardens. A place where you can run, ride a bike or simply rest from a work or touristic day.

Really, I found it sickening the quantity of pigeons in the park. You could hardly understand the person beside you. I really found that a pity because the park is a real green treat especially when it is hot in the summer but when I would have been there in summer I preferred rather an air conditioned room then to sit amongst all these screaming pigeons.

You can't go wrong with this park. Depending which way you walk through the lush gardens, you end up either at the Plaza de España or the Plaza de las Américas, which hosts three museums, of which I only got to see one, the underrated Archeological Museum. So while for me the park was more means to an end, I can certainly understand why you might want to spend an hour or two here.

The first thing I do when visit a new city is ask for parks, gardens to go. After visiting a lot of different parks, I can say this is one of the best. It was bulit for the first EXPO held in Seville In 1929, before that it was the gardens of a Queen's sister. There are beautiful tiles all way around and two great museums inside. Wonderful fountains and silent only interrupted by birds. This is one of my favourite place in the city

My husband did not want to take a horse and buggy ride. We were in Seville for a week and I finally said that it was a "must." We really enjoyed the ride through the park with the commentary and while I liked it more, my husband admitted that we had seen things we would otherwise have missed. Having a guide helped and it was very relaxing to be in the buggy.

Very popular park next to Plaza de Espana. You can see parrots in the trees. There are also 2 museums at the farther end. Not many refreshment shops and toilets.full of people, but it is so big you will not feel like overcrowded.

When I visit Seville I always like to visit the Maria Luisa Park because it is very large and has many surprised. I especially like the Plaza de America, which has the Archaeological Museum and the Popular Arts Museum, both worth seeing.

We did a quick tour of the park as part of our orientation tour. This was just one of the stops which also included the Macarena District, the tobacco factory portrayed in the story of Carmen, and Murillo Gardens.

Right next to the Plaza Espania, a fantastic place to wander. We went there and planned to do the free guided walk, but unfortunately due the high winds, the park was closed and our tour cut short. However, we had previously wandered around and admired the various plants, trees and sculptures, the significance of which we were about to be told before the wind abruptly intervened! We will do the tour again.

Huge trees, ponds, fountains, statues & monuments, right next to the Plaza de Espana and extending over many acres. Not much was blooming when we were there, but we could definitely feel the cooling effect of the shade cover. Would love to return and explore it more fully!

Thanks to a donation from Princess Maria Luisa, Sevilla got a huge park in the centre of the city in 1914. The park is huge (38 hectares). The biological diversity includes thousands of palm trees and other trees. It also consists of an impressive number of fountains and springs. This oasis is an indispensable breathing space for the people of Sevilla and for tourists – especially when the summer is hot. A stroll in the park is ideal to combine with a visit to Plaza de España.
