靠近海滩，非常值得一去。是塔拉戈拉最美的地中海阳台。附近也有很多特色餐厅。古罗马剧院被保护的很好，过节的时候还可以欣赏到非常出色的古典戏剧表演。气候宜人，是临近巴萨非常值得一去的景点。

We visited the Amphitheater in mid-morning. There were few fellow tourists and one can walk around and into this attraction. A wonderful Roman site to visit while in Spain and along with other locations in Tarragona, makes a visit there a pretty high priority.

Tarragona is an amazing place, originally the capital of Hispanya in the time of the Romans, and a lot of Roman structures still survive here in wonderful condition. Adults and kids alike will like to walk along path trodden by Roman soldiers and into the amphitheatre where gladiators fought for their lives. We spend a good fifteen minutes chatting to a very knowledgeable guide at the entrance which inhanced our visit considerably. Tarragona itself is worth a look around, especially the ancient town part, cafes bars and a pretty cathedral at the top.See my other review re Roman Circus. All these attractions well within reach of the main line train station, approx one hour on express Talgo or Euromed trains. (Don't catch the high speed AVE which is expensive and has a dedicated station out of town!)

We took a day trip via train, down from Barcelona. We had the best time. There was not a great deal open on a Tuesday in January unfortunately, however we ate GREAT and we drank better. The sites we were able to visit were very enjoyable and we simply took our time and enjoyed the old city. It was so nice to be able to walk into the amphitheater and actually sit and take it all in.

Traveling in Italy you cannot get near the Roman ruins but this place allows you to go right into the amphitheater and sit in it. FYI, if you are an educator bring ID because teachers are admitted free.

The ruins are very well preserved, and the scale is amazing. It's so cool so walk in the huge amphitheatre that was used for gladiator games. The backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea is so gorgeous!

This is so well preserved, you really get to understand what its purpose and architecture was all about too. This is also located in a very beautiful area overlooking the sea. Car parking can be an issue.

Lots of the original stuff (stone and construction) is there and what is reconstructed is well explained. The setting is amazing and I just sat there and absorbed the immensity of the history that it represented. Don't miss this!

An amazingly well preserved roman ruin - amphitheatre and church foundations which can all be viewed from above for free. To enter the grounds and read the information boards you must pay 3.30 euro entry, which we decided not to do because we were short on time. If we had longer we almost certainly would have paid to enter. A must see in Tarragona and very easy walking distance from the train station - stop at the Mediterranean balcony on the way!

Stunning example. Really gives you a feel of what it was like to be in the Arena. Entrance fee was not too expensive. Placed right on the edge of the city and with a beautiful backdrop of the beach

It is located near the bay, an open and free Roman coliseum. Best to park the car in the underground parking lots. Street parking is hard to find and is limited to 2 hours with lower fee. Street parking is free from 2pm to 4pm. Shops are closed during this period.

If you like history, this is the place, but if just want to enjoy the view is really worth it. The amphitheatre is still keeping his shade. It's easy to imagine how it was, when you are inside.Great experience and great views of the Mediterranean Sea.

You can't help but imagine what it must have looked like during its heyday. It is by the sea and straight down from the circus. There is a pleasant park you walk through on the way. You can see some of it when the gate is closed from the park or above on the road but do pay the small fee and go inside. We went on our own and would have been better with information about the ruin and different rooms. I would get a tour if I went again. Don't miss it if you are anywhere in the area.

Spent a good hour or so here, nice and quiet when we went so could just take our time and wonder about, walked in the footsteps of ancient Romans, it was well worth a look to just look and think about what it must have been like back in the day, what it must have been like ??.A bit of a walk down hill to get to but worth it , I didn't like the walk (clime) back up to the town so if you struggle walking use the little tourist train thing you can't miss it.
