It is well worth making the effort to see this fantastic Roman bridge. There are tremendous views of the old city and you can walk beneath it through a sort of park. We walked right along one bank of the river back to our hotel along the other. It was a really good walk.

If you want to take nice photos that's where you should go. But you have to cross the entire brigde to have the most beautiful views of the city. From there you can see the brigde and the 2 cathedrals, plus a panoramic view of the city! It's amazing!

Over Tormes River with nicely appointed stone arches.Reconstructed in 17 century - original contructed supposedly in year 89. Stone pig statue in front with commanding view of the University.

Very well preserved example of a roman bridge. A must see in Salamanca. The surroundings are not as spectacular as the bridge itself on the far side, but the views of the city centre are great.

Great bridge to wander across and enjoy the view. Look back at the Cathedral, it's magnificent. The bridge was built 19 centuries ago and spanning the River Tormes, remains to this day one of Salamanca's sturdiest bridges. In

Nice view of the old city but nothing on the other side worth making the trip for; low on the list of must sees for Salamanca

It is wonderful to observe Puente Romano still standing and showing us all the years that it has been there.

This bridge crosses the Rio Tormes just below Casa Lis and gives spectacular views of the city and Cathedral and is well worth the time it takes to stroll across it. There are also walking paths along the river and its natual areas

Not quite sure how you review a bridge, but go down, cross the bridge to the opposite bank and look back to enjoy the views of the city.

Well worth the walk from the city centre. The bridge and surrounding parklands are truly beautiful - and whats more - its free.

This wide, well-lit bridge offers a great spot to capture a night-time photo of the bridge and the cathedral.

A beautiful roman bridge, solid and picturesque. Amazing to think it's been standing there, still being used, since the romans built it.

You can walk across this Roman era bridge to reach the center of Salamanca. It is a stunning piece of ancient architecture. It is particularly beautiful at night when it and the city center are lit.

Not quite as impressive as the one in Merida, but definitely worth the effort. The view back towards the City was lovely. But why is everything shut in the afternoon when there are so many tourists looking for things to see?!?
