One of my favourite beaches in Portugal !It has a good sized sand area with a nice gold color... and it matches with the beautiful brilliant turquoise blue of the sea in front. What a marriage ! Fantastic !The beach is very clean. In the beach, you have space for your own sun umbrella but if you don't have one and you need, there is also a a reserved area with sun umbrellas and chairs you can rent at day.You have a nice sized parking lot. It is easy to park. The beach has two bar-restaurants that contains everything you need for a nie and zen beach day.Search in net by "Praia da Comporta" and you will find many photos and comments to it.In a lucky day, you might have lucky to see the dolphins passing offshore.

Comporta beach is a very beautiful family beach to go and relax. In August it is full of families, big portuguese families with their children, grandparents and friends, so the atmosphere is good... if you don't happen to be in the beach umbrella right next to them. This families tend to be a bit noisy. The beach restaurants are very good too, good service, good food, expensive too, but then you are in a beach that really beats brazilian ones, with blue transparent water and an overwhelming view to the ocean. The sunset here is breathtaking, but watch out for mosquitos. At sunset they come out and attack every inch of flesh that is in sight - and this is not a hyperbole. Bring along a strong mosquito repellent.

We reached Comporta Beach by taking the car ferry across from Setubal to the lovely Troia Peninsula. Coffee at the beach hut café followed by a sea food lunch which was very enjoyable. I'm still not a beach bum but enjoyed lunch on shaded terraces overlooking the Atlantic beaches.Shaded parking for Euros 3 and the car ferry was about Euros 12.

A lovely place to spend the day. Not many people around and nice restaurants and bars to have a proper wonderful meal, snack or drink. A place for people that enjoy nature, quality of life and beautiful things and people.

Comporta is a must do if you visit Portugal. It's around one hour away from Lisbon and has all the great ingredients to spend a all day laying around. You need to have a car and be prepared with some food if you would like to get away from the crowd.Since it's a huge sand extension you can get some privacy having the feeling you have your own beach. For couples relaxing it's great.

Beach for miles and miles with very few people during the week. There are two restaurants where you can enjoy some food or a lovely glass of chilled wine.
