Travelling up the drive was like being on safari - adults were just as excited spotting the animals as the children!! So many things to see: amazing metal sculptures, the blacksmith at work ( she made hooks out of nails for the children to take home - very interesting to watch and listen), falconry display (great addition on Saturdays), silversmith, pretty little coffee area (very tasty cakes!) and an excellent shop. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.Have passed on the A5 numerous times thinking we should go and have a look - wish we'd gone sooner! Had a lovely afternoon - we'll be back soon! Many thanks

A wonderful place to visit. So much to see and do. The talent and imagination of the artists/sculptors is astonishing. It was my first visit and I had arranged to meet with Clive (entrepreneur extraordinaire) to ask a very big favour. I was greeted with a cup of coffee and the offer of far much more than I could have imagined. Thank you so much Clive. I will be back in the very near future. This really is 'a must' in Shropshire.

This place is out of this world! As you drive up towards the main buildings you would think you were on safari. I'm a 40 year old and found it exciting so I know when I go back with the nephews they are going to love it. They have a fantastic shop and refreshments on offer, I had a lovely hot latte sitting on their sofa whilst chatting with friends. We met Annie, a professional Blacksmith who showed us the forge and her ironwork crafting, her skills were most impressive and the sparks were flying as she showed off her welding skills very enjoyable and informative. All in all a great place to visit and I definitely will be back with the family. ps. Take your camera and take shots of the wildlife and the sparks flying in the Blacksmith area, I got some great shots :)

Have just returned from a wonderful blacksmith experience - Annie guided our son James how to make a poker and a set of hooks to hang it on. The whole afternoon was brilliant value and great fun. Completely hands on, very professional and fun. And we have lovely mementos of the day. In addition to this, the centre is well worth a visit. Cannot recommend it highly enough :-)

The approach through a metal wildlife park is mind blowing, the range of product for sale when you get inside the "shop" is massive. The staff were helpful and knew their products well. Look at their web catalogue for an idea of what is available but be prepared to poke around, there are many one-offs to tempt the eye.

This place was a very interesting place if you want to see iron work. The blacksmith's demonstration was very good. Good for children too.

Worth a trip just to see the fantastic wildlife creations patrolling the lawns but there's plenty more to see and do. As well as making every conceivable item out of metal there is a big involvement with the local community and charitable schemes like the 'knife angel' which is a reflection of the enthusiasm of the owner and all the staff. It's certainly not what you expect to find in the middle of the country but very much worth visiting.

A very impressive set up, showcasing many features related to the working of metal . What a fantastic sculpture of a spoon gorilla, showing how modern talents can sit beside more traditional iron and steel products from the past. Well worth a visit.

We visited the Ironwork Centre today having seen some garden furniture on their website. What we didn't expect to find there was such a diverse range of products with so much to see and an overwhelmingly friendly welcome from the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and equally no one pushed us into buying anything. The animal sculptures in the grounds of the centre were amazing to see and we only wish we had visited on a Saturday when the other units are open. The centre is free to visit and would rival any other local attraction!

After seeing the advert for valentines day chocolate special, I booked the experience. When we arrived we were greeted by a helpful and friendly member of staff. After our chocolate experience the owner happily talked about and showed us the progress on the latest project 'knife angel' which will be a monument to victims of knife crimes. There are wonderful iron work animals sculptures displayed throughout the grounds. We will be going back for another visit and are recommending this to everybody we know.

This was the reply to "How much does it cost?" as a friend called to enquire about if the centre was open and about the entrance fee and parking. And it's true. And what a great place to visit. Stunning ironwork sculptures, interesting talks with the craftspeople in residence and great information from the owner. You could happily spend a few hours here and still not see everything. There is also a shop where you can buy a whole range of different items (there is a cost here of course) and get something unique. Well worth the trip and take family and friends.

Myself and my family have just returned from a fantastic morning at the British Ironwork Centre. We are so lucky to have this fantastic experience on our doorstep. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The magnificently sculptured safari adventure is amazing! This is a great experience not to be missed!

Gazelles leaping over the fence to the long drive up followed by Cheetahs frenetically chasing - African Elephants , Rhinos , Stallions and Gorillas abounded surveyed by a mutated giant scorpion atop the roofs of the workshops. This is a wild life park like no other - all the animals are sculpted , teased, rivetted, welded and and shaped in iron of all tones and textures by ironwork craftsman. Inside the Grounds are grand Gates that are tailor made for a mile long driveways, ornate Gazebos and fanciful garden benches. It seems there is nothing that the ironwork Centre cannot create if it is made out of iron. A fascinating afternoon that lives up to the Customer Satisfaction pledge on the Entrance:"if you are leaving without being entirely happy, then please speak to the Clive or Ben Knowles (Business owners)". And we found a home for a delightful mischevious iron work rodent that caught our eye and simply could not go unsold. David M and Joanne J.

A fantastic place to visit, amazing craftsmanship and so much to look at. The designs are awesome and just about any animal you can think of is on display. The detail and work that goes into each construction is quite remarkable. There are also displays from the Blacksmith - a craft you don't often see these days. The onsite craft shop is also worth a visit with lots of unusual and well made items for sale, all at reasonable prices. Well worth a visit for the whole family and a great day out!

Amazing metal workings, unable to walk around the outdoor exhibits.Followed parking signs and were told off for entering unauthorised area despite no indication of this being the case.
