For starters its free.well laid out. do able in two hours attention span of most children. I would reccomend buying and reading the guide book.gives an insite to how this collection of stuffed creatures came to exist. At the moment there is a display of breath taking photography. Magic day out material. Why have'nt I visited this before a must for all :)

This is a excellent place to go, especially on a cold and rainy day, when it is best not to be outside,it is a very interesting place to go for children as well as adults. Educational and fun !!!!

This is a surprising large collection of stuffed animals and birds. They are well presented, although the building itself is spread over four floors and it takes a while to find your way around. There are numerous species on display that I had never heard of ( some of which are now extinct). Entrance is free, and it is a family friendly attraction.

Very comprehensive display of stuffed wild animals, birds and reptiles. Was originally the Rothchild collection. Very interesting. Free entry. Difficult to park if the small car park is full. The overflow car park was closed so we parked in the road.

An excellent set of natural history displays of primarily taxidermy and models. This collection was formerly part of the Rothschild private collection. And wow what a collection. An excellent two hour visit well worth the effort.Highly recommended! And of course as this is part of the London natural history museum - it is free!

This is a fascinating building full of very well preserved artifacts even if a little macabre in places.Be warned though if using the overflow car park in wet weather it can be rather muddy.

This place is excellent. You might be lucky and find parking outside or there is a pay & display 5 mins away. Entry is FREE to the museum - but we always give a donation but it's entirely upto you no pressure. There are so many exhibits from the Lions of the African planes to Ocean Whales, right down to a huge butterfly and insect collection. Imagine everything else in between and it's here. Many of the exhibits are very old - I was told sadly that many of the exhibits were from the many hunting parties the Rothchild's had but it was quickly pointed out that this was a long time ago. We have been here many times including kids parties where the parents arranged a treasure hunt to go around the museum to identify the animals etc. It is very well maintained - if you love natural history, you will love this place. For what they have here and what they do, I give it 10/10.

This was a fantastic place to visit and we all learned something new. Free entry, little cafe and really interesting exhibits and history of the museum. Was very busy but it was school half term

Stopped in here as we were staying at hotel nearby, doesn't look much from the outside, but when you enter the first room, wow, couldn't believe what what in front of our eyes, animals, fishes, birds reptiles from floor to ceiling, everything you can imagine and so many more that you probably have never heard of, or ever seen before.there were 6 galleries of wonderful things to see. What a place, will have to take my son there one day

Had to kill a few hours kin Tring whilst waiting to collect our son from his RAF training at RAF Halton and this a must see gem and the couple of hours turned into three quite comfortably and very interestingly.Eccentric Englishman or a fanatical fan of the natural world and its history Rothschilds legacy is for all to see and very much enjoy.

My daughter learnt to walk here (poor staff who had to clean the glass windows!) it is a fantastic facility for the local children and intriguing to learn all about the life of Rothschild totally amazing do not hesitate ... 20 mins or two hours!!

Loads to see, easy to get too. Well worth a visit. Loads of exotic species and an eclectic mix. Great afternoon out :)

It's such a wonderful local offering. It makes it another reason to love Tring! Especially proud that the wildlife exhibit comes to us.

Amazing this is free to get in. only trouble is finding somewhere to park as carpark is full. had to drive into town -still only 5 mins walk. You could spend hours in here. Awesome. The tiger is bigger than anything I could have imagined. Every animal for kids to get up close to see. There is a dressy up box upstairs so kids can get dressed as an animal or explorer as they go round and also clip boards and quizzes for them to take round. It is so educational - little doors to open for inquisitive fingers for every insect under the son . Don't think a child could fail to love it here and adults! there is a cafe but didn't have time to go. Don't get much for free these days but this is a brilliant place to go.
