We stayed in St. Andrews celebrating our anniversary and I booked an introductory lesson for my partner who thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We were made to feel very welcome before, during and after the lesson even stayed 30+ minutes after it finished chatting with the instructors and getting to know their experience which was great, made the experience very personal and memorable. A shout out to our instructor Ron as he was absolutely fantastic, a very friendly genuine person - as was everyone else who worked there. Overall could not recommend enough, definitely visit if your in the area, we will definitely go back.

We visited the centre yesterday, and being complete beginners we weren't sure what to expect. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived by all staff members, and our instructor Ron was absolutely fantastic! He was very patient with us and had us hitting targets in no time! A great experience that I'd recommend to anyone, and we will definitely be back!

We were 4 couples celebrating new year in St Andrews and planned some activities, clay pigeon shooting was one. We have tried this before at other centers with limited sucess in hitting the target, but the instructors really helpt us all with guidence and the result was really good. When sumerizing the experience later that day we all came to the conclution that it was a great activity that we all want to do again.Great instructions, welcoming people and a sufficient number of pigeons!

Really great introduction to Clay Pigeon. Went for a birthday jaunt, staff couldn't have been better, friendly, and so so patient with all us beginners. If your visiting near hand, would recommend ++++++

Went for the intermediate lessons at the centre, George our host is a great instructor, some great stories about the world of clay shooting. Enjoyed the lesson so much, went back for a second round the second we finished the first.Great morning of fun!

On a "golf" trip to St Andrew's, we wanted to try something different. None of us had ever shot a gun before, so we took the beginners lesson. Great tutelage from our two instructors, and we were hitting the clays pretty well. They made it a lot of fun. Friendly, clean. We really enjoyed our morning.

This was the first time I or my husband had shot a gun, and we loved it. We were given excellent tuition from instructor Ron. who was patient and also very encouraging. I managed to wing a target or two but of course! husband proved to be quite a good shot. The Cay Pigeon Shooting Centre is very professional has friendly staff and well worth a visit.

I went with my 12 year old son for a lesson here. They were brilliant. We were both given guns that were appropriate to our sizes. We had George as the instructor. Extremely professional and made us both feel really comfortable. Preparations prior to the day were very good too with excellent communication. Can't recommend them enough.

Shot a gun for the first time with instructor Ron had a brilliant time. Ron was an excellent instructor and we were made to feel very welcome. It was my teenage daughters second visit and she loved every minute of it. Will definitely be going back again soon and would recommend a visit if you are in the area.Karen

Took my sis and niece (14 years old) for a beginners lesson with Ron Maxwell today and it was great fun. Ron was very patient and a great teacher and we all managed to hit quite a few targets.We all enjoyed is so much that we're already planning an advanced lesson. For those visiting that are not locals this event can be combined with a visit to Tentsmuir Forest and the lovely beach which is another couple of miles down the same road the shooting centre is on - a great day out !Fritz

We visited in March for my son to try out some shooting.Our plane was late from London which made us late for our appointment. Nonetheless everyone waited for us and made us feel incredibly welcome when we arrived. We we're put under the charge of their most excellent award winning George who taught things only a former champion knows ! He knew exactly how to get the best out of a novice and to encourage a first class performance within a short time. Everyone here deserves praise for how they run the centre- it is absolutely brilliant and we shall be back again. It is a little hard to find but once you do you will have no problems finding it again.

Super friendly and helpful to the young old experienced and inexperienced. This place and Holland and Holland near London would make clay shooters out of anyone who takes the time to treat themselves to a lovey morning or afternoon. This is well worth being a central piece of a trip to or near this area.

My colleagues and I visited the SCSC after we realised it was so close to our office - in Newport-on-Tay - and seemed like a perfect day out!We were not disappointed - I was really shocked at how quickly we all managed to hit the clays. Was definitely down to Ron's clear experience with beginners, he knew exactly how to explain what to do to get us shooting well in no time.Would definitely recommend to beginners and experienced shots alike!

I bought this as a birthday treat for my brother-in-law. We were joined by his 15 year old daughter and my sister (an observer). Not sure on what to expect as complete beginners, we were both surprised and thrilled at the warmth of Ron's welcome. He came out to greet us at our car and introduced us to our brilliant instructor George. George was a lovely character. He was fun and genuinely excited to see us hit the targets. His instruction was absolutely first class. He went out of his way to ensure we all had a great experience, including some nice interactions with my niece and sister (latter sitting out on the shooting). I would definitely go back and was amazed at how quickly we were all hitting the variety of targets. Great value too!

Had a fantastic little introduction to the sport + refresher with Ron on the weekend in some beautiful weather. The teaching was very relaxed, easy-going and enjoyable. The venue itself is a little off the beaten track but easy to find. Good selection of stands/traps too by the looks of it Everyone there was very welcoming which was very nice. Will definitely try to return. Thanks very much.
