Fantastic area of town. All kinds of brand stores and really anything you can imagine along this street. We just dropped in for about an hour and made a few purchases before leaving the city. It was a good experience and I'd recommend it to anyone heading to Glasgow

Glasgow is a great place to shop and also very easy in the city centre....imagine the letter "H" and you have Argyle St and Sauchiehall St parallel with Buchanan St as the link in the middle. You will also find beautiful architecture on this street.

So many shops and eateries, very close to all public transport. Totally enjoyed our time and we were really impressed with the cleanliness of the whole area. Young buskers on the streets and it was a pleasure listening to them

Wonderful pedestrian mall with many "closes" ( tiny alleys) full of additional pubs and chippies. The shops are like a who's - who of top brand shopping......and, a casino nearby.

Buchanan Street in many ways has taken over as the main shopping street from Sauchiehall Street and is due to expand further with the controversial plan to demolish the Concert Hall steps and build yet more shops. There is always a lively atmosphere and there are plenty of eating places nearby.

Anybody coming by bus to Glasgow will cross Buchanan street as the main bus station is located there. The street is shopping paradise and full of people and lively atmosphere in the evening.

Great shopping street, with all you disire.Visit shops at Buchanan street before you go into the House of Fraiser, which was very expensive. Great service all over, friendly people everywhere

A lot of very good shops, John Lewis in the Buchanan Galleries,The Willow Tearooms, there for me, was nothing to dislike apart from the weather.

From first thing in the morning to last thing at night this street has so much going for it. The surrounding area will keep you entertained for hours. Be careful of over zealous Big Issue vendors

In Glasgow the weather is unpredictable: in the morning sunshine, afternoon it pours.but Buchanan Street is a street that is always crowded with people of all ages. With clothing stores, shoe stores, electronics, souvenirs, cafes and shopping centers, the center of the "Glaswegian life" manages to attract thousands of people every day. Even for travelers on a budget is a major destination, and worth a stroll and watch the majestic buildings of Buchanan Street.

Glasgow's best street not only are the shops amazing , the old buildings are steeped in history and designed by some of the best in the world. On a recent trip here after a long absence due to going to "out of town" shopping centres, I was delighted to find that the same old buildings remain , whereas the modern shopping centres are merely ching ching tills ringing in asea of glass and faceless concrete. There are a lot of very expensive shops that I won't be going into, but window shopping alone makes me think I'm in Paris with Glasgow accents and no tower lol. Go shopping here and look skywards don't miss the beauty of the listed buildings.

Come to Buchanan Street to feel the bustle of Glasgow. It always seems busy with Glaswegians passing through on their way to Central Station, George Square or elsewhere.Shopping is the main reason to come here with the Buchanan Galleries shopping centre at the North end and the more stylish Princess Square to the South with designer shops (nearer Argyll street). Next to this sits the ornate Victorian Argyll Arcade, where generations of Glaswegians have bought wedding rings and jewellery. Buchanan Street has some great architecture too, many of the individual shops on the street have their own character. Look up as you walk past and listen to the buskers too. At the North end sits the Concert Hall, a good place for a coffee break and nearby the statue of Donald Dewar- father of the Scottish Parliament. Make sure you check out the adjoining lanes. Mitchell lane has the excellent Lighthouse, bar 10 and bar Soba. On the East side of Buchanan Street- McCormick Lane (Chippy doon the lane) and Springfield Court (the Lab pub)

Great place to browse and shop. Large variety of shops to suit all interests and pockets. Liked the atmosphere ... Pity about the rain.

I visit this area of Glasgow on a regular basis with my wife. She never misses an opportunity to walk the entire length of Buchanan Street to take in the excellent variety of shops. The area continues to change with much development only just completed at the north end of the street. Something for everyone here. Food is available nearby for shoppers at all parts of the street.

Wide variety of shops and restaurants. Street entertainment for everyone. Great for window shopping when the budget is low and retail therapy when it has been replenished. Centrally located great for transport links. Princes Square is a must to visit for designer shops and restaurants.
