My mum had said that this was something she had always wanted to do so we got her this as a present. She has long term health issues and never thought she would get to do it. She absolutely loved it despite being a bit anxious at first. Graham was very informative while also jovial, telling anecdotal stories. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone, my 5 year old daughter now wants to go having seen the pictures and videos.

We were staying at the Strathblane country house hotel (on a 5pm deal) and my husband booked an hour experience at the falconry as a surprise. It was brilliant. There was just the two of us and Graeme was really informative describing and showing the different birds. We then went into the field and held the stepp eagle and flew the eagle owl. Also we went for a walk around the woods with the Harris hawk, which as amazing. Would highly recommend.

we spent a fascinating afternoon with Graeme and his wonderful assortment of raptors and owls. It was a present for our grand daughter who had the opportunity to fly several of the birds and who loved every minute, as did the whole family. Graeme was very informative and whilst we initially didn't like the sight of a day old chicken being fed to the birds bit by bit by the end of the session our grand daughter said that she had learnt a lot and that nature is cruel but essential for the species to survive - an excellent lesson for everyone!

We did the half day experience. We enjoyed Graeme's company - he is very affable and obviously passionate about his birds and their care. He answered all of our questions willingly, and we asked a lot of questions!!!! We appreciated that you couldn't touch the birds and that Graeme was very respective and pragmatic towards them. Best of all was having a few different birds fly towards you and land on your arm, so you got a nice up close and personal look at them. We also really enjoyed talking a Harris' Hawk for a walk around the property- their intensity and quickness was amazing to see. All in all, good fun!

We had a half day gift voucher for Strathblane Falconry. Graeme was very knowledgeable and took time to answer all our questions and shared his enthusiasm for the really amazing birds under his care. We learned so much about birds and had a fantastic time getting the chance to fly a kestrel, eagle owl and a Harris Hawk. It was such great escape for a few hours and we couldn't have enjoyed it more.

A very worthwhile experience. Graeme was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He was also fantastic with kids who he kept involved....when they were paying attention. Would recommend this as an opportunity for a great family day out

We just spent over 5 hours with a short break for a delicious lunch of soup and sandwiches at Strathblane Falconry and the time just 'flew' by. What an interesting, informative and friendly day we had. This Christmas gift from our son was not something we would have perhaps chosen for ourselves but it turned out to be a fantastic experience. We would thoroughly recommend it to all age groups. Graeme is so knowledgeable: his enthusiasm is infectious, opening a new world of birds to all. He is so passionate about his beautiful birds that you can't help but be excited and interested in all aspects of falconry.

A unique experience, whilst I love all animals, birds had never been top of the list so my knowledge was limited, probably a benefit as it allowed Graeme to give me the full works. He is clearly very knowledgeable and cares greatly for his birds. Some of the birds I had seen before and even flown a Harris Hawk but only a limited amount. It was great to fly a variety of birds, most particularly a tawny owl, a bird known to most British country folk like myself but virtually never seen let alone to have one sit on your arm. These birds are both very delicate creatures and highly skilled predators so if you can take nature in the raw this is an experience well worth having. Thanks to those who gave it to me.

I spent a very packed (though too short!) time at Strathblane Falconry last weekend. My fault as I hadn't booked till late in the week. The venue is in the countryside and beside a hotel where you can also have a nice snack before you go out to the falconry. The birds are kept in great condition, but they are NOT for petting, as they aren't pets. But that doesn't matter at all, because the wonder of being so close to a true predator, intelligent and free and independent, is a REAL joy... Just to see those greay wings and tose bright eyes coming towards you at a fast speed is superb. Graeme is a mine of information and is very helpful in answering all the questions you might have. It is a pastime not to be taken lightly as a hobby though, as the birds have to be closely monitored for weight, condition etc, and of course you would need legal access to a place to fly any bird you keep, should you decide to take up this ancient sport. It's an experience you will probably want to repeat...I know that IDO !! It is JUST GREAT!

Graeme makes dreams come true! We were a party of 12 staying at Cameron House (Loch Lomond). Greame offers an off-site falconry experience at Cameron House which lasts around an hour. With a group ranging in age from 3-65 years, this was an incredible experience thoroughly enjoyed by all. We all got to see 6 different birds, which we were allowed to hold too. Greame's incredible patience with the never ending questions was so appreciated. A definite highlight of our trip.I cannot recommend this experience enough. We will be talking about it for years to come.

My partner loves falconry displays and was keen to have a hands-on experience. Strathblane Falconry offered a full interactive day which I though was very reasonably priced. We visited the centre on 25th April and were kept informed (and entertained!) from 10am to almost 5pm so excellent value for money. Graeme was knowledgeable, passionate and forthright; you can absolutely see his dedication and determination to provide the best for his birds. We got to handle a whole range of birds from tiny scops owls to a huge eagle (heavy!) in the morning whilst learning about their habits and the work involved in looking after them. We had a lovely lunch in the hotel and then returned to get more involved; flying a number of the eagles and harris hawk. Graeme was an excellent host and ensured we were comfortable flying the birds. We came away feeling very pleased with our day; will certainly hope to be returning in the future!

Amazing birthday for my 11 year old son. He was so delighted that he had the strength to hold the birds. His interest in birds of prey was heightened by the terrific education given.

My morning at the Falconry with Graeme and the birds of prey lived up to all expectations. Graeme's knowledge and enthusiasm is infectious and the ethics keeping/handling birds and their welfare is clearly paramount. To handle the birds and see them in action was a real privilege. An amazing experience i look forward to repeating. Highly recommended.

We visited here on the 7th December for an hours introduction to falconry and it was great fun. With Graham's close supervision we had a very hands on experience with the birds. His passion and love of what he does is infectious and truly adds to the excitement. Thanks for a great day!
