Wife and i were here on saturday, the service was slow due to the queue mixed with people sitting in and people getting chocolate, there should realy be two lines so those sitting in aren't in my case waiting 10 to get served at the counter. The coffee was good but i found the cakes we bought were heavy and stodgy, the caramel browny cake tasted ok but you would need a chisle to get it from the roof of your mouth and you couldnt eat this without a drink. There are toilets but there only WC'c and the two doors are in a small coridor so if there is someone in the gents then you have to wait in the coridor likewise for the ladies. We were a bit disapointed and should have went to the cocolate place in aberfeldy.

I booked my Mum and myself into the Petit Fours class for my mum's birthday. The pastry school is easy to find and very welcoming on arrival. My Mum and I were beginners, Ruth makes sure to cater to all levels that attend her class. She is an excellent teacher and very nice person. My mum and I will both book other classes. Thank you for a lovely day and our boxes full of treats!

Attended the petits fours class last week with my enthusiast teenage daughter and could not have enjoyed the day together more. Ruth is fab and gave us lots of time and advice as well as the general course content (which was also amazing). Have attended a few other courses but think this was probably the best. Will def go again. Thank you to Ruth for an amazing day!

Busy, bustling coffee shop. May be a bit over crowded for a relaxing cuppa but cakes and pastries lok delicious.

Went to the school rather than the café. Really enjoyed myself and having always wanted to know how to temper chocolate but been rather intimidated by it, now I can. Had taken the truffles and praline class before and really enjoyed it too. Left at the end of the 2 day masterclass with lots of chocolate and my head bursting. Aimed more at those who work or are planning to go into it as a small business but suitable for those who want new skills too. Does not assume prior knowledge or experience of working with chocolate. Staff all very friendly and helpful but class taken by Ruth. A very tasty snack lunch was provided.

Very popular place, nice coffee and cakes. The chocolates looked good too although we didn't try them.

I have just been on the 2 day chocolate course on the 28th and 29th April. The first day was hard going as Ruth tries to tell you as much as see can. Ruth is a fantastic and lively bubblie person. I know the course is alot off money but well worth it. The amount off chocolates you make is brilliant she covers everything to get you started. And everything you make you that home. I have a big cardboard box of goodies. Many thanks to Ruth and Sarah.

This time I attended the Cheesecake and custard tarts class. We were given a very warm welcome by Ruth and her team on a cold and wet day in Peebles. I'm not an experienced baker but managed to produce some amazing looking and tasty treats. Recipes that I thought would be difficult were explained and made relatively simple. You don't even have to do the washing up!If you are attending this class I'd recommend that you take a big bag. You'll come out with four boxes of cakes and have to walk down stairs with them - a tricky balancing act!

Great experience, lovely cakes, great choice - washed down by a good cup of cappuccino and a flat white. I may add that the staff were attentive, polite and informative. If I lived locally I would use this cafe a lot.

Everything about this cafe is wonderful. Their coffee is as good as their chocolate and as well as the sakes we ate, we bought others to take home and I even paid twenty five pounds for the cook book
