Nice hill to ascend - can walk in easily, great views from the top. In winter you may need a walking ice-axe

Climbed Ben Vrackie on our honeymoon. It's hard work but worth it, especially when you get to the Loch which is about 600 metres up. Stunning views and definitely worth the trek!

We didn't pick a particularly good day due to the wind and intermittent snow showers, but what we could see was fantastic!

The view from the top on a clear day is stunning. The Moulin inn located at the base of the Ben is ideal for food and a welcome drink after climbing Ben Vrackie.

Been a few times but not this visit too much snow, but it's a fine walk out to the loch and back. If you can get to the summit in good weather there are great views to be had.

Not a huge mountain - in fact some feet short of being a Munro. But the views from the top of Ben Vrackie of the surrounding mountains, including Schiehallion, are just stunning. Well worth a half day's walk!

I had read the other reviews about Ben Vrackie and it wet my appetite for a walk on our honeymoon. It took us ages. We set off at 11am from the carpark which was free. We had quite a pace, but the paths were iced and there was snow on the ground so it was difficult walking. We spoke to other walkers who warned us about not walking with crampons and sticks, but then other walkers said the snow on the mountain was passable so long we were careful. We got to the foot of the mountain, and views at this point were tremendous, the loch was iced over, and everything was iced over. As stated in other reviews the paths are well worn and sign posted. There arent many benches to stop at and admire the view. From the foot of the mountain to the very top, I would say it took us about an hour to get up. It is mainly steps to the top. Snow was pretty deep, and it was easy to slip and fall due to ice, hence the slow ascent. At the top, someone pointed out Ben Nevis to me, and we stayed and admired the views for some time. Our descent was fairly treacherous and I resorted to sledding down patches on my bottom since it was easier than walking. All in all though well worth the trek up, I did it all from setting out from the car, to returning to the car in 4 hours; my husband was slower and did it in 5 hours.

Great walk. Views were amazing. Unfortunately we didn't go right to the very top as the mist was very thick so there was nothing to see.

I have climbed Ben Vrackie a few times and it is a nice, gentle climb with some brilliant views from the top.

This is a really beautiful walk to do...unfortunately the day we did it we couldn't manage to get to the top with the weather but managed most of it...but will come back one day to finish what we started.Even in the rain the scenery is stunning...

The path all the way to the top is well sign posted, the pathway is clear and even when it becomes a stairway made from the rock, the walk is manageable for walkers of most abilities. It takes around 2 hours to get to the top at a steady pace.

I highly advise you to climb the summit of Ben-y-Vrackie - it's not so easy but you will be rewarded!:)

a lovely walk, hard going to begin but once you clear the trees it flattens out a wee bit (not much). Worth the walk to the top though, the views to the top are amazing

Very hard climb when you eventually get to it, long hike to get there, but through some stunning scenery. Definitely need to go prepared for all weather's. But worth it

A fairly straightforward but rewarding hill walk. Not as high as a munro and very close to Pitlochery so from start to finish it will take around 3-4hrs.
