Took my daughter to meet her friends for a wee swim. This is the first time I had been since the refurbishment. The changing rooms are spotless, brightly lit and warm enough with many free hairdryers available and a good vanity area. There are no water slides or other novelty things nevertheless, the swimming pool was buzzing with chatter and there was a nice atmosphere with music quietly playing in the background. Even the training pool looked good fun.I did not go in the pool (didnt want to cramp my teenage childs style)but instead sat in the spectators area for a short while. That too was spotless and brightly lit. The centre provides more than a pool. There are a lot of activities going on from kiddies birthday parties to gym classes for all ages. None of which intruded in on each other. plenty of information on other activities was displayed and easily accessed. For £1.80 unlimited swim time it was good value for money.

We took our 5 month old baby to the Sir Matt for his first swim as it has the small heated pool. We were in for 20mins as it was his first time so feel a bit hard done by to be charged £6.50 for 2 adults and a baby for this but i suppose i could have been charged alot more in other places. The Pool was ace for what we needed it for. Also what happened to the cafeteria?, we had no place to take our baby to feed him and get the acclimatised after being in the pool.

Gym is brand new with lots of different equipment and mostly more than one of each of the more popular machines. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Always good for a chat! The rest of the centre has been refurbished like the main pool and the main hall. The price for students £21 for monthly membership to everything is excellent value. My only problem is with the car park and the huge potholes that wouldn't take long to repair.

Went for a swim last week with my wife and got to say been to far more better pools, when my wife got in the shallow end something was stuck to her feet when she took it off she found it was chewing gum. when you get out and go for a shower you actually smell dirty like bad sweat, Not anything for the kids to do as its quite a small pool. If I had kids id travel to time capsule or the water palace much CLEANER!!!!

I phoned centre ahead to make sure they would be able to accomodate me. Lady on reception was lovely and put my anxieties to ease. On arrival I was expected, the pool has ladder access so if you have any mobility issues at all then you need to use the chair hoist. the changing rooms are unisex and massive now, a far cry from when it was just the bellshill baths and you had to hand in your belongings in a orange box. There appear to be plenty of changing rooms and lockers with a few larger cubicles for baby changing and disabled. There is however, a large disabled wet room at the bottom near the pool which we didnt find out about til we were leaving. The room has its own shower, with chair and as an added treat you dont need to keep pressing a button for the shower - once its on its on. Also a good point would be to mention there is a locker in this room which is handy. I avoided matt busby for a long time because i knew i would have to use hoist, however, the staff were lovely. By the time i was changed the hoist was set up and ready for me. I was very scared but the staff did all they could to put me at ease - once i was in the pool i was fine. The lifeguard clocked my husband and i heading back towards the hoist and immediately got it ready for me whilst another lifeguard made sure the kids moved out the road.Overall, my experience at this centre was extremely positive and i look forward to going back again soon.

Been a member here for 5 years now, great range of group classes available if like me the gym can bore you. Staff are extremely helpful. My only criticism is the car park, it needs to be a lot bigger to accommodate the amount of people who use the centre itself and the football pitches.

Both me and my boyfriend have memberships to use the gym, and we chose to use this gym rather than my local one in shotts, as I don't like it. Going to Matt Busby was a great decision, the gym is so much better, we were given a very informative induction and both got booked in to get programme cards! The equipment is fantastic, and it's quite a big gym too.

The pool is grotty. The gym is an after thought. You can't go from the gym to the pool easily. The staff are great, friendly, helpful, knowledgable

Sir Matt Busby Sports Complex i have heard that they have been upgrading it and ive still to see !!! But when i was back in may 2011 what a big mistake. We had lanarkshire membership cards to when arriving to bellshill for a change we were told to get changed into a smallchanging room to use the gym. The room was sticking of pee and bad bo, The walls were discoloured and pipes were rusty as hell no somewhere i wanted to be. We were told the gym was upstairs not well signed posted we must have been all over till we found it. Different machines but felt out of place as there was people fitter than me so we stayed about an hour then went to swimming.Walking into the changing room i was shocked as its a mixed changing room really cold i would never leave my wean along in it.the changing blocks where disgrasfull and the lockers where missing keys and used about 30p trying to get 1 just to work theres no one around that works there to complain to. The swimming pool is really deep and i did notice a glass window up the deep end not sure why thats there..We left the pool and i asked one of the members of staff where the health suite was and was even worse guy told us its upstairs i was like WHAT, he told me we had to get changed just to go up. so changed again and went to health suite up 2 flights of stairs thro a dance studio then along to otherside of the building. We walked thro and there was about 3 members of staff in this wee room watching tv and having a laugh the locker room was a bit better and lockers were in good nick. The health suite is a defo no no for me .No jacuzzi as it had been broken and no one told us before we even went the steam room was nothing than a black with seats and no steam the sauna was colder than the pool really it was a waste of time ....I did put in a complaint to headoffice but never heard back.........
