The wind farm is equal parts odd, beautiful, scenic, futuristic and, if I'm honest, a bit scary (if you have an imagination). The views are beautiful and the noise from the turbines sinning round and round adds a strange but wonderful etherial feeling. My friend described it as feeling like walking on the moon which is quite accurate.

We often visit the Windfarm which has a very nice cafeteria and visitor centre. The various walks are great, all signposted giving distances involved. The Windfarm is a great and very peaceful place to catch up and do all your 'talking' without the interference going on in the background around the home. Ideal for prams and bicycles - very family friendly, something there for everyone.

We have been up to the wind farm many times and never grow tired of it. When we have family or friends come to visit it is the first place we take them. Peaceful, stunning views on a clear day, phenomenal sunsets and tranquil. Thoroughly recommend going to the view point, which only takes about 15/20 minutes to walk to from car park. The exhibition in the visitor centre is worth a look with lots of interactive activities for kids (and adults). Coffee shop is good with a great view.

Loads of wind turbines to see, loads of space to walk or cycle. A great visitor centre with lovely clean toilets and really good food and drink in the cafe. The staff are all friendly and happy to help.

We have visited many times/ great place to go for a wander, to learn something or visit the cafe & shop which has always something a little big different! Entry is free and it's usually easy enough to find a space so it's very accessible- my little boy loves it because he is fascinated by the windmills but also he has lots of space to run! New cycle paths have been created too which makes a great place to explore by foot or cycling! Would recommend a visit - I think it's a favourite with dog walkers too! From an educational point of view, there's loads to explore and is fantastic for children of all school ages. Experienced a school trip here and it was very good.

We had a lovely although a rather windy day at Whitelee Wind Farm today completing roughly a 2 mile round walk finishing our day off in the cafe for a lovely hot drink. Many thanks also go to the staff who are so helpful.

This is such a fantastic resource for us. We have visited many times since it opened and there are no real faults with it. The rangers and visitor centre events are fun and exciting and the tracks are great for running, walking and cycling. We would recommend accessing it from somewhere like Carrot Farm near Eaglesham to explore the more remote areas, though the visitor centre has a lot as well. Well worth a visit.

We visited the wind farm originally with our young granddaughter,it is extremely interesting and run great workshops for children. We returned last week as it is on a very scenic situation. We had a snack and enjoyed looking at the scenery and watching the windmills.A great place to take schoolage children.

Been many times this time just to the shop and cafe. First of all I like the imporvements made to the cafe with more relaxed seating for guests and less for the shop. My grandson liked the smaller shop that he could look at whilst we were having our coffee. Sensible prices at last here too with small items - he particularly liked the 'stretchy guys'. So much so we returned on Easter Sunday to buy some more. At the same time he took part in some Easter badge making. Yes he likes it here!

I have walked across this moor before the Windfarm was built and it was an absolute grind. Now it is opened up to walkers and cyclists, young and old.The wind turbines are an awesome sight, up close, and fill the air with a sound you will not forget. There is plenty of wildlife to see and also fabulous views across 4 or 5 counties. The Visitor Centre is worth seeing, especially for the young. Lots of science experiments and facts about renewable energy. Have a beverage and a scone and enjoy the views.

Visited the wind farm yesterday - a cold crisp day in Scotland. There are 215 turbines making this the second largest wind farm in Europe. There is a cafe, reasonable prices and kept nicely clean. Our guide, Kevin, was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The exhibition centre is interactive and a great place for the children and those adults among us that like to play. It is worth paying out for the bus trip where there are photo opportunities and even more to learn.Well worth a visit - it could change your mind about wind farms.

The Wind farm has a visitors centre, which holds exhibitions and indoor activities, a shop and a cafe. It also is an excellent venue for outdoor exercise, whether it be for the hearty rambler or the not so fit. There is over 70kms of trails for walking, cycling and much, much more! It is well signposted, so would be very difficult to lose your way.
