I have just joined Balmore at the end off last month. Love it,great greens and very well presented, practice area is second to none in the area. Very happy to be a new member, looking forward to playing the medals next year. Will have to find a new doubles partner now.

Great golf course. Short but by no means a push over if the wind picks up! Greens run very true and the service from the club is great. Played the open recently and was run tremendously. Everyone is very friendly and the bar maids are great which is a bonus. :)

I have played Balmore G.C. many times but recently returned to play their Gents Open competition. The course is always very well presented and is a great but fair test of golf. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Food is always good. Great course for an outing. Has a great combination of being a quality golf course without being overly-long.

I've been a member at Balmore Golf Club for about 4 years now, having previously been at Cochrane Castle GC from many years through my childhood and youth. Balmore Golf Club is a haven of tranquility set amongst some of the finest countryside in the the central belt. With just one little country track road into the course, it is entirely surrounded by fields with grazing cattle and sheep. You will come across deer, woodpecker, buzzards, rabbits on a regular basis. Originally designed in 1907 by Harry Vardon (who still holds the record for no. of Open wins) on what was the Glenorchard Estate, the course itself is fantastic, always in emmaculate condition with sculpted fairways and fast and true USGA spec greens (that we play on throughout the winter unless it's frosty or been exceptionally wet). There is also a 10 acre practice area where you can practice every part of your game from driver to your pitching, chipping and bunker play at the pitching green and USGA spec chipping green. There is a putting green and driving nets at the first tee. The clubhouse is neat and tidy and the bar/lounge looks out onto the 18th green and 1st tee. Paul Morrison is out PGA professional with a fully stocked shop.Whether you're a visitor or planning to join, you will love Balmore Golf Club!

I have played here many times. The course is always in excellent condition and has a good variety of holes.Balmore is never busy and allows the game to be played at an unhurried pace. The clubhouse staff provide a very good level of service and a menu that will satisfy most hungry golfers

Course is brilliant condition and the clubhouse is neat and tidy. The food we ate was good and the service was better. Considering getting a membership!
