Stayed at lodges nearby and pass it everyday, thought we would stop. The tower looks beautiful and after reading the notice board will return when it is restored.

Sauchie Tower, is a wonderful example of the architecture of Scotland in the 1400's, although only the remains of the tower can be seen, the tower would have formed part of a larger walled complex, within which there would be a cobbled courtyard, and a large hall with kitchen for the family to entertain. The tower has always welcomed people, as during the 18th century the tower was used for dancing and singing classes and performances (must have had good acoustics !)It would be lovely if the funds could be raised to restore the tower, as other towers have been in the area, so thatit's rich history can be truly enjoyed.
