We were here on Friday evening for a stroll. It was quite and peaceful. The garden also has a waterfall and a collection of stones from all over Finland. From the top of the garden you can enjoy the sunset. Perfect way to end our little visit to Kotka.

This is a really nice garden in the town of Kotka, a very relaxing place to be where you can enjoy the flowers, the fountains and the waterfall, walk through the park to the marina and check out the boats, lovely place.

This is is really nice park / garden and is really worth visiting, if you are in Kotka, especially on summer time. Good parking facilities near by and also few cafes / restaurants just around the corner.

In summer times this is very nice place to walk about and relax and join beatyful flowers and relaxing water. It's not very big place, but it's good to stop sometimes. Ther's a few restaurants at near by.

Sapokka water garden is small but beautiful place to take relaxing walk with children. Yeah I agree that usually the words relaxing and walking with the children do not fit in the same sentence but Sapokka is different. Only god knows why but at least our children are always interested in going over there and they really seem to enjoy watching the flowers, plants, trees etc.The areas highlight is artificial waterfall which fits quite nicely to its surroundings. For adults it is just "embarrasing" minor waterfall but at least our kids can stay there minutes after minutes and just wonder how the water can flow so nicely. Anyway, when childrens are amazed by the wonders of the world the parents have really relaxing minutes to enjoy.So if You happen to be in Kotka then Sapokka water garden is worth of visiting. It is not an tourist attraction so do not take the risk of disappointment by driving over there only for that purpose.

Good place to have a relaxing walk, just to sit or even jog. Lot of trees, bushes and plants to see. Water element is beautifully built. Also stones are part of the park. Sapokka is connected to Katariina park where you can get by walking along sea shore.

It is good place for walking and rest. It is good to combine visiting museum Moretarium and this park.We were there in May, and I think it is good time because of many flowers. I don't think it is interesting in another time.Waterfall is not very nice, from my point of view.Above waterfall, on the top of rock, there is a some kind of exhibition of kinds of stones which can be found in Finland.The most interesting for me was so-called "soapstone" - I met this kind of stone for the first time - by touch it is like soap.There are several restaurants in park, but they are quite expencive. Interesting, that the name "Sapokka" came from Russian word sounds like "Sapog", which means special shoes for Russian soldiers (XIX century - there were Russian garrison in Kotka).

This is so worthwhile to visit.I've been here several times in different seasons and it's never disappointed. The waterfalls are something else! It's exceptionally well maintained and there are informative panels all around.
