I love parks and old trees.If you want to spend few moments in silence, you could head to Hatanpää.It is an old park; and the oldest trees are from 1700's.You can sit and watch people and birds, have a cup of coffee at summer time or have a picnic.You can jog, walk or bicycle. The park is quite big, 11 hectares.Many will come for rosegarden but it is also awesome in autumm. Have fun! It is free.

The Arboretum is a lovely place for an energetic jog or a peaceful stroll. The flowers are beautiful and the view over the lake superb. The summer cafe is nice place for coffee and ice cream. There was also an art exhibition in one of the rooms when we visited the place in August.

a very nice place, not far from the centre, for picnic, walk, jogging or only to enjoy a sunny day. in the park there are various type of flowers and plants and friendly squirtel. you can enjoy the fresh air coming from the lake while taking something from the local bar.a must-see of tampere!

This is a place for a relaxing outdoor day. You can run, walk, have a picnic, hang around, have a coffee in a local summer cafe or just enjoy the garden.On a beautiful summer day, this a place where you can really enjoy the summer. It is never hot here, since there is always a wind from the lake Pyhäjärvi.We did picnic on sunny July day and enjoyed.

Very nice place for a picnic, peacefull walk or for jogging or running. Nice views to the lake and there are also various kind of plants and flowers with dome info. There is no actual swimming beach but there are couple of places where you can go for a swim. Very nice place to hang out in a summer day. In the winter you can also go walking to the ice.

As a biologist I enjoyed this place very much. You need to have car or take a bus to go there. Very nice especially during early summer

Thousands of roses and the beautiful location by the lake makes a peaceful walk worth while here. Take your time, make a picnic...enjoy!

Even when it's dark, wet and cold, this is nice place to go for a run. The path on the waterside is nicely lit and the view on the opposite bank is pretty with all the city lights.

The best park in Tampere, large enough to have a quiet moment, but still very easily walkable from the beginning to the end within 30 minutes. Especially beautiful place in autumn because of numerous deciduous trees and a beautiful rose garden. Not so much of activities for kids (no playing ground at all), but there is a duck pond and with good luck you can even feed some squirrels that own the place. No public WC facilities available, but there is a café with WC in the middle of the park that is open in summer time only (Kahvila Arboretum).A bit far from the city centre to walk, so take a bus to the Hatanpää hospital (2,50€).

Hi!This is very nice arboretum, you have to see Rosarium here! Here are lots of trees and another to see also.We visited here in august and roses was brilliant. Here are in the spring very much tulips and such kind flowers and in autumn there are roses and many other spices.

If you love roses, you have to visit Hatanpää Arboretum in late July or early August because there will be hundreds and hundreds of roses of any kind blooming in so beautiful colors.

Nice to walk aroud, beautifull roses. Doesn´t cost anything, free. Make a picknic there, take coffee with you and sit down in a park, silence is gold in the town even!

Beatiful and well managed park. Has a cafe during summer. You can swim in lake Pyhäjärvi. Has trails for running. Squirrels and ducks. Perfect.
