You can take some nice photos from the top of the mountain and you can also visit the monastery situated right next to this monument, just 100m further.

Monument is for those who died in World War I and is located on Mount Magura, 100 meters from the Monastery Magura Ocnei. Access is by car but on a mountain path through the woods. A place to relax and rest.

This monument was raised in memory of the more than 14 000 romanian soldiers dead in the WW I(1916-1918) on the Oituz-Cosna-Ciresoaia front line. The stone made building is 22 m high, carved in the form of bombshell. Works for the erection of this monument were made by soldiers remaining alive after the battle in the summer of 1917.The building has a ground floor and two floors, connected by a spiral stair.Inside is a tomb of the unknown soldier and a little museum.50 meters up further is the "Magura" monastery.

Dopo un percorso tra i boschi della montagna Magura, si giunge al monumento. Non eccezionale artisticamente parlando, ma da quale si gode una vista emozionante sulla valle del Trotus. Peccato che fosse aperto a orari ridicoli!
