While visiting Uppsala we stumbled upon this small museum. It has all kinds of nice memorabilia of the Uppsala university. At the moment of visiting there were some Egyptian ornaments to be seen too. We particulary liked the top floor, which gave a good explanation of a Viking grave.Date of visit: October 2014

Wonderful building that is part of the city's history. Visit the top floor amphitheatre and wonder at how the anatomists brought the body for public dissection. Some incredible ornate historic items presented to Swedish royalty. Perhaps could deliver a better message about medical achievements when this house date medical faculty but nitpicking!

This is a place that give you a both arcitecture historical and social experience what students had to learn by seeing in old times.

This is a neat little museum about the history of Uppsala University. You should not miss to see the anatomic theater - one of the oldest ones in Europe.

This is a museum opposite the cathedral that deserves to be discovered by visitors with historical interest. Guided tours are recommended and why not prepare your visit with a glance at their website.

The museum houses a lot of different things related to the university. It is quite eclectic but interesting. I loved the wooden anatomical theatre, built for students to watch bodies being dissected but was in fact rarely used. An architectural gem.

For anyone familiar with the name of Linné, Ångström, or Celsius, this is a must. In addition to the science part one should see the marvellous theatre of anatomy. The Viking part is fascinating.

It's a nice way to experience something different: visit a university (or the oldest building of the university)

Lecture Hall on top with an exhibition, telling the development of science in all terms (especially medical science) with old drawings, books, equipment and so on. There are four or five floors and tons of stuff to see. Also some Egyptian exhibition on the first floor. Small gift shop on ground floor.
