My boyfriend and I went for a trek yesterday. It was his first time on a horse and despite my initial worries the trek went very very well. We both got amazing horses (Con & Angel, you rock!) and had the time of our lives. The weather was stunning, the views breathtaking and the whole 1.5 hr was spent smiling under the supervision of experienced instructors. We already have re-booked to go again. Neigh neigh.

Myself and my Girlfriend were here only last week, despite the weather not being great we had a amazing time! Roger was so friendly and more than welcoming and showed us all the ropes with Angel and Elaine. He kept us entertained for the full 90mins showing us all the amazing views, and told us about all the local surroundings of the Connemara Mountains. I would definitely recommend Knockillaree Riding Centre to all of my friends. We'll 100% be back again! Roger also recoomended a beautiful Bar for food close by, The Boat Inn, fantastic food!

We booked kinckillaree riding centre for a horse riding trek today - it was a great way to spend a few hours on our trip to Glaway! Neither of us are greatly experienced with horses, but roger had a suitable horse for both of us an guided us well for our trek. He was very friendly & informative & you can tell that he loves the horses. We have no hesitation in recommending the centre & would place it very high on the list of things to do in Glaway. Would love to return for a summer trek for sure!Very enjoyable.

My daughter had specifically tasked me with finding a jumping lesson! Rogers vast experience provided her with excellent tuition which was both informative and confidence building, on a great pony. Everyone was so friendly and the horses were lovely. We all learnt alot and had a really enjoyable morning to which we have to thank Knockillaree.

Our day out with guide Roger and my horse Patch and my friends horse Pride was full of laughter and total enjoyment. Roger and his team were so kind to us, we learned a lot and Rogers vast experience was intriguing. He was a great confidence builder. I recommend this day out as a must do, thanks to all. Knockillaree Riding Centre is beautifully situated in the Connemara area, a short drive from Galway City. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit there. The location has breathtaking views of the mountains and rugged terrain. The more time you spend there, the more you appreciate how the light transforms the landscape with each passing hour of the day. Roger was a charming host. His passion for what he does shows in his deep knowledge and gentle way with the horses and ponies. A pony trek at Knockillaree is the perfect way to intimately experience this most gorgeous part of Ireland!

It was raw, pure, horse riding at it's best. Whether you're a complete novice or competent rider, you'll be in safe hands. Roger and his crew are knowledgeable, intuitive and respectful of both horse and rider. Laced with Irish humour, this is a recipe destined to please. Enjoy your ride, we did

We opted for a 1 hour trek as my bf had never ridden before. Roger was patient and provided good instruction to him. The horses were lovely and suitable for our levels of experience. The view of Lough Corrib at the peak was beautiful and Roger provided lots of info and history of local area aswell!

We went there with a group of friends and had a blast. To this day, people from the group who had never even ridden a horse still tell me this is their best memory of Ireland.Being an experienced rider myself, I enjoyed it enormously feeling from the start that the horses were safe and nicely bred.MANY THANKS !

we visited the riding center as a last minute decision at the end of the day. In spite of the late hour and his obvious tiredness the owner Roger gave my son a very good riding leson. although we paid for half an hour Roger gave almost an hour long lesson, obviously caring deeply about what he does and exerted himself explaining and demonstrating so that my son recieved one of the best jumping lesons he ever had.the stable is clean and welcoming and the horses are great and Roger was pleasant, easy and professional.a good and enjoyable experience - warmly recomended.Benjamin BerlyneJerusalem, Israel

My ride was beautiful and amazing! Roger is a really nice guy and was a great tour guide and gave a good history of the land. I was happy to spend his birthday with him, riding in the hills. The Connemara Pony I was riding had a very good temperament. I would highly recommend going for a ride!

This is the place to go, for scenic views that are breath taking as well as the experience on horseback.Roger, the owner, has patience as well as helps each person in the group. He goes to each person, learns your name and advises you for individual guidance for the rider.Regardless of no experience on a horse a some experience, he helps thru the entire journey. Makes sure you are comfortable the entire journey.Oh and did I mention, he moonlights as a photographer? Yes, he even takes pictures with your camera/phone while you and whoever is with you sits on the horse in amongst the beautiful scenery!I would return again and would tell anyone going to this area, this place is a must see!!! :)
