the ride out to Cap Frehel is lovely, but does take awhile. The walk to the lighthouse isn't far, but be aware that the path is uneven. For people with vertigo, there are still places to stand where you have good views yet don't feel too close to the edge. The variation in the rock colors is also interesting.

We visited with our 20 month old son in May and enjoyed the walk out to the end of Cap Frehel and back (approx. 10 minutes one way from the car park, various longer hikes also available). We found it easiest to have him in a backpack rather than a buggy so that we were freer to roam the paths, some of which are uneven. A lot of people were picnicking. The views in every direction are lovely. You have to pay for parking but it isn't expensive and the views are worthwhile. The lighthouse itself was closed whilst we were there at lunchtime (I think it was going to open that afternoon but we chose not to wait) and it is worth noting that there were no refreshments available.

The car park cost E2 followed by E2 each to enter the lighthouse. The lift to the top has been out of order for some time judging by the dust everywhere and the circular staircase does not go right to the top. I could see from the top a restaurant on the actual point which is some distance from the lighthouse. Fortunately, I checked whether it was open before setting out for it in the rain. It is not. There is no other place to get refreshments. What a waste of my time!

Well kept and easy to get to, some of the history is displayed in English, amazing views from the top. Nightly recommend.

Bring your camera to this dramatic seascape. Parking is near the lighthouse, and then there is a 1/4 mile path to take out to the farthest spit of land, with dramatic ocean views along the way. At the end of the path, some people without so many brains were tempting fate by clambering along the steep rocks, with the only recourse being a fatal fall onto the rocks below.

Visiting Cap Frehel was an addition, to our earlier in the day visit to Fort La Latte. A wonderful windy walk to the old lighthouse. The stone sculptures left by visitors made an interesting addition to the fantastic geology of the region. Beautiful views of the different 'Pointe de....' Chatalet, etc.

This is a great place to visit mainly for the coastal paths that you will walk on and the views that you will see. Parking is close and convenient and there is no charge if you arrive at lunchtime when the attendant has closed his hut to go for lunch. Otherwise, it's two euros per car and well worth the price.

The lighthouse is really the newest of 3 lighthouses located on the Cap. The sight is easy to walk around and discover the different iterations of lighthouses used at the sight. The seaview was magnificent from that spot. There was also a trail from this to the Fort la Latte if you wanted to hike over to there (about 1.5 hour walk). If you're in the area, I'd recommend a stop at the Cap.

Enjoy the view from the top if the lighthouse and watch the sea birds nesting on the rocks.Great good value trip with the kids.

Well worth a visit to the Cap Frehel lighthouse. Stunning views from the top of the light house (3 euros charge, children under 12 free). The walks around the lighthouse are very rocky and not suitable for younger children. Parking at the lighthouse is 2 euro.

The lighthouse is modern (post-war) and rather ugly but the views from the headland are worthwhile particularly towards Fort La Latte. There is some birdlife here including nesting Shag and small flocks of Guillemot on the water. Unfortunately these were frequently disturbed by fast moving pleasure craft. Rock Pipits inhabit the heather and we were sung to by a LinnetYou have to pay for the parking and the arrangements for parking are poorly signposted. After we parked some distance away we discovered that you can park at the base of the lighthouse. There used to be a restaurant called La Fauconniere here. It is now closed and no longer in business.

Very windy, be prepared! Great views; very atmospheric. Nice if you come prepared to walk a bit, a hike along the cliffs would be a great way to spend some time. It costs 2EU to get your car into the lot and then 2 or 3 more EU per person to go up the lighthouse.

Well worth a visit, located on the end of a prominent peninsula the lighthouse is still very important for all the ships navigating the English channel. Beautiful rugged coastline with an impressive view.

When we first went out to the point of Cap Frehel we wanted to see the lighthouse and sea views. We found these to be beautiful. What caught our attention was the sound of Breton music which we thought was being played through a loudspeaker. Imagine our surprise and delight to find on the tip of the Cape two musicians playing the traditional binou and bombard with the sound being blown in the wind. An amazing experience.

To visit when the sun goes down. Take your time to get there and the use of a GPS is recommended. But the result is overwhelming.
