Spent one day at Le PAL during our holiday and wish we could have stayed there for longer. The entrance fee was competetive specially if compared to UK prices for attractions of the same genre. We paid 66E for 2 adults and an 8 year old child which worked out on the day at £55. If you buy entry tickets for 2 consecutive days there is a special deal - please consider a 2nd day as I know you will not be disappointed. We would have appreciated the extra day in order to see the animal shows and feeding times but had to prioritise our day. We attended on a very busy and warm sunny Sunday but the longest we had to queue for any attraction was 25 minutes for the most popular rides but we were able to just step on to some of the family attractions without queuing at all. The park is very well laid out and is fairly flat and suitable for pushchairs. The queues have signs advising you re length of time to front of queue but they never took as long as advertised. The majority of queues have shelter from rain/sun and some had spurts of very fine misty cold air or ceiling fans to keep you cool. We managed to do the rides that we wanted plus a few extra but not all of them by any stretch, We seen the animals that we wanted to see and the sea lion show was great. Our favourite ride of the day was undboubtedly Alligator Baie - do not go on if you are not prepared to get wet or laugh until your belly hurts!! We were lucky that it was warm and sunny so we dried very quickly. My husband got so wet that he created puddles of water. Soo funny! There is a ''drying machine'' at the end of the ride which you can step into for a couple of euros to dry out if necessary - we seen some families share the machine/cost as several people can step into it at the same time. We did take spare clothes and towels with us as we had been warned but never actually used them as we dried as we walked. You could certainly tell who had gone on Alligator Baie as you looked around! We all agreed that it was the best fun we have had in a long, long time. There are lots of big lockers by the main entrance which would easily store bags of clothes/picnic if required although we did notice quite a number of families pushing around rented buggies (similar to those available in Euro Disney) with all of their paraphenalia loaded onto them. We didn't need a buggy so unable to comment on this service. There are several picnic areas placed around the park as well as lots of eating places - some are sit down and some take away but they are very well marked on the map and if I remember properly tell you what to expect and what to pay(??). We had a 'take away' burger meal and sat at the picnic tables. We paid 27E for burgers/hot dog/chips and drinks which was exactly the same price we paid the following day for a MacDonalds and Le Pals was much, much nicer. The food was freshly prepared, hot and plentiful and we were more than satisfied. There are also stalls dotted around selling cold drinks and ice creams. We paid 6E for 2 bottles of drink and an ice cream. We only noticed one other British car in the car park and heard no English at all on the day. This place is definately geared for the French market and not tourists as the map/notices/menus/shows/everything was in French (this is absolutely no criticism of the park just an observation and didn't spoil our enjoyment). My rusty schoolgirl French got us through the day and it was lovely listening to my daughter attempting to converse in French. We managed to see the sea lion show which was another highlight of our day. It was very cleverly done and there was plenty of seating available. There were other shows available on the day but we simply did not have enough time. We spent some time walking around the animal enclosures and they appear to be new and of a very good standard with lots of room for the animals. Being able to feed the goats at the childrens farm was a nice touch (take 50cent coins with you for the food). The park was spotlessly clean including the toilets and picnic areas. All in all a very enjoyable day and highly recommend it for families - those looking for the thrills and spills of the latest high tech rollercoasters may be disappointed but families will love it. Groups of teenagers were seen having a ball. Something for everyone. Can't wait til we go again next year.

This is a fantastic attraction, my wife, 4 year old twins and I bought a one day ticket, but one day was not long enough to go on all the rides and cover the whole zoo area. We returned the next day and the ticket seller was kind enough to allow me to pay for the second consecutive day at the reduced rate on production of my tickets and reciept from the previous day. 2 consecutive day tickets are supposed to be bought on the first day of your visit. The attraction is clean and tidy, well laid out with food, drinks and toiliets easily accessible from anywhere in the park. Food and drinks are expensive from the restaurant are expensive, but convenience foods (filled baguettes) and drinks from the vending carts are more reasonably priced. Most rides are open to kids over 1 metre tall, with a few requiring kids to be over 1.4 metres. Be aware that some require a 1:1 ratio of adults to kids where the children are under 6 years old.The queues (French people dont understand the concept of queues) were not too bad, at around 30 - 45 minutes per ride. The park seems to attract an inordinate amount of wasps - I must have killed around 30 of these on our two days in the park. The zoo area is well laid out and although it is a reasoably long walk to get around it, there are no long walks between exhibits. The theme park and zoo are blended nicely together, and though the rides close shortly before 1900, there is no rush to have visitors leave the park. My kids remained in the petting zoo until 1930 on both visits, I had to tell them we would be locked in if we didn't leave now.The staff throughout the facility were polite and courteous with the exception of one - the woman who swims with the sealions swore at my children because they got in her way when she was trying to run through the crowd during her display.

The Bird demonstration has improved a lot. It has always been good but today outstanding is a better description. The program seemed longer with many more birds and a wide variety of species. Owls, birds of prey of all sizes, gulls and others. A demonstration not to be missed. The sea lion show has also matured with more of the action in the water. A very well planned event. The new attraction, Alligator park looked like a lot of fun, especially if you don't mind getting a bit wet, but if you do there is a drying room for your use at the end.Congratulations to the Le Pal Team.

We had a great day out at Le Pal. Clean and well laid out, my 6 yo was able to go on everything - a welcome change from places in the UK where we play the same price as for our 8 yo but where she is excluded from many rides on height terms. Event though we didn't need to queue for hardly anything, we didn't manage to do the entire park. There are lots of animals to look at too - they all looked incredibly healthy and well looked after. The place was spotlessly clean (apart from one toilet but that wasn't the park's fault). Even the restaurants etc were great value. A super day out- highly recommended.

This is a very nice parc if your children are taller than one meter. Our daughter was able to join almost every coaster and other attraction even she didn't turn 4 yet. The integrated Zoo is very good with exceptional large areas for most animals (at least in the eyes of an amateur). We spent 2 full days in the parc and felt it that this was exactly the time you need if you want to join some rides twice and also enjoy the Zoo.

We visited as a couple with older teenagers for the day in the Summer. It was cheaper than we anticipated, and excellent value. The zoo wasn't particularly exciting, it was excessively hot (mid summer) and everything was asleep. But the rides were good, the queues short, and everything clean and exceptionally well managed. As with all things French it emptied at lunchtime, but at this park everything stayed open - so it was a good time to go on the rides.Unlike English parks it wasn't a huge 'fast food' outlet - but take a picnic with you!It was well signposted, parking was good, but you would need to take drinks and food with you. But then, if you are holidaying in France you probably do that anyway.Compared to English parks it was excellent value, and a very very good day out.

A charming little safari park crossed with an amusement park, with plenty of animals and rides for the whole family. We went with two children age 2 and 4 who can tire easily but the whole site was small enough to get around, lots of places to stop for a sit down or a ride. The animals looked well cared for, the 'shows' were good fun, and the enclosures were good sizes. The rides were great and very rarely any queuing for more than a minute - the exception being the safari train - but even then the queue area had little films to watch and refreshing cold air sprays! It was very well set up to cope with the very hot weather - fans with cold water, mini-cold water showers etc, a great idea.Interestingly the French teens seemed to be enjoying themselves as much as our kids - there are rides suitable for tinies (carousel, mini aeroplanes etc) and also more adventurous ones for adults. It's a good price, there are plenty of places to eat (or take a picnic) and we will definitely go back. Thoroughly recommended.

We visited the park in august 2013. First of all appreciated that the parking was free of charge. The park itself is spacious and clean, the animal park is well maintained and the animals easily visible and clearly well looked after. The rollercoasters and other attractions are ok but not super-spectaular, with the Twist as an exception (fantastic experience!). Waiting times were shorter than announced (nice surprise) and staff was friendly. On the downside, as in almost every park of this kind, the food was expensive and of mediocre quality. All in all a fine experience.

Better than Disneyland Paris, you bet on it! No crazy cues, cheaper 10 times, a lot of great attractions plus wonderful zoo. Our family loves Le Pal, got season cards this summer.

All ways take our visitors here. We all enjoy the rides and the zoo has a wonderful selection of animals in beautiful surroundings. Don't miss it. Apart from some queues in July and August, very little waiting time for the rides. Great for little children too.

I fell upon this park by accident while housesitting my friends house in Saint Pourcain. And what a cracking day out we had here, and the price was unreal!! I thought they had made a mistake, we were there in 2008 (despite the date above saying march 2011 TA wont let you enter an earlier date) I think the exchange rate was about 70p in them days, and we paid 15 euros an adult and 12 euros for our little girl. About £10 and £9. Its only 22 euros today, I've just checked. The park itself was huge, well laid out, had great food and was cheap as well. the rides were a great mix of adult and kids rides, and on top of that it included a massive zoo as well. 2 parks for the price of one, For £29 what we payed to get in its by far the best value park I have ever visited, It was in June when we visited, yet it was no more than 25% full, so no queues. if you ever get the chance to do this park, make sure you do it was brilliant.
