This museum is worth a visit if you're looking for something to do in Brussels. The exhibits are interesting, and many aren't surrounded by glass like in other museums. It was very clean and worth the entrance fee

A huge museum for the nature lovers! You can stay there for hours and not have enough. An interactive museum for evrybody where you can see a dinosaurs exhibiton and all species of animals and insects exhibitions. You just go visit it! Interesting, scientific and funny!

You can see so many things in this museum! From the dinosaurs that used to roam the earth million years ago to so many different (and living in windows) spieces of bugs! Very nice museum, well informed, interractive on some point, alhtough a bit not well-organised! But if you have kids, or even not it is very fun and very good to visit!!!!

This place is excellent for kids age 6 and above. Besides the dinosaur area, there's also a section that's quite interesting for them. They have monitors with interactive screens where kids can tap the proper section and answer 14 questions correctly to help the city become a green city. My 3.5 year old enjoyed the small section where he can pretend to be a paleontologist but in reality he's playing with the sand. He also enjoyed running under the projected area to chase the fox. The minerals area in the lower area might not be an interest for my kids (oldest is only 8) yet but the gift shop is conveniently located there. Lastly, I would highly recommend this place for family to visit with their children in Brussels.

We visited the museum with two small children and the absolutely loved it! There are so many dinosaurs to see and learn about and lots of interactive games to keep the kids engaged. My children had a great time here and learned a lot about the Eco system and the dinosaurs. We found the museum to be reasonably priced but it is not a full day activity, we spent around three hours at the museum. The museum cafe is over priced as is the gift shop but we managed to find a few reasonably price souvenirs for the children. I would absolutely recommend this museum for anyone any age visiting Brussels! We all had a really good time here!

Set in a beautiful old building (Not so nice from the front, but looks can be deceiving) with lots of charm and character. Very nice and interesting exhibitions. Some well-placed play areas for young children. Our 18 month old daughter loved these as well as the attractions. Nice little park at the rear of the Museum (Doesn't belong to the Museum) with a lake and ducks. Well recommended.

I get to learn much more about dinosaurs here and with the huge display of Iguanodons bones that they discovered in a mine. Also, with collections and life cycles of different insects, other arthropods, the displays of different stick insects, spiders and cockroaches are stunning too! The showing of micro-invertebrates life cycle brought me back to my undergrad invertebrate class. There were 4 languages description, including English in the dinosaurs and evolution exhibition. However, there was no English in the display of the arthropods and micro-invertebrates.

A deep dive into pre-history, looking at the world as it used to be a long time ago. Entering into this place from one of the busy areas of Brussels is like entering into a suspended state of mind. Best to be seen when there are not many people around. Otherwise the magic is stolen away.

Been there after the London Museum of Natural History and was VERY impressed. Great collections of fossils including Stegosaurus and Tyrannosaurus and the whole pack of Iguanodons. Incredible collection and almost no people (though I was there on a weekday, who knows about the weekends).

The museum is quite a way away from any other attractions or met/tram stops but it is quite a nice way to spend an hour or two out of the cold. Parts of the museum are under construction so some of the attractions were closed. It was included in the Brussels card we purchased (excellent value for money and would fully recommend purchasing one for a day or two of your trip). There were great displays but wasn't the best museum I've been to, I think will improve once the renovations have taken place in the Spring.

Firstly, the museum is quite hard to reach. There's almost 20 minute walk from the closest metro stop. Then, it's a bit overpriced for what you get. Eventhough we were students, we did not get a discount, so we spend about €10 per person. The museum is called "Museum of Natural Sciences", but we did not get sciences at all. The most impressive thing was a reproduction of a dinosaur, but that is it for such a huge museum. There were a lot of fossils, that after 10 minutes began to look the same. The section about mammals was a huge disappointment, since it had a few mounted animals and that's it. We also went to a temporary exhibition about brain, but it also was a childish exhibition of what human, dog or bird brains look like.Overall, we wasted a lot of time and €20 for nothing.

We visited the Museum to avoid the cold in December and it was a nice morning for the whole family. The kids really enjoyed the Dinosaur fossils and insects. Not a must-see while in Brussels, but a good way to spend time dedicated to the kids' enjoyment.

Unfortunately we happened to be there when several parts were under reconstruction. It has nice collection what attracts kids, but also what is interesting for mammies and papies. I met friend, who is coming with his 8 year old son at least every month on sons will. For 3-4 years old it could be a bit too early. But it was pretty easy to spend there 3 hours.

We spent 3.5 hours but only discover the Dinosaur part. There are more than 5 parts left. The exhibition method is plenty and interesting. That is a great place for both students and children.
