When it comes to nature , Slovenia have on of the most beautiful places in Europe. Trust me! Tolmin Gorge is a proof of that. Biggest part of that is colour of the water, big part of minerals makes the water blue and almost green, but pure so you can se few meters deep. But dont get idea to swin there water is like 8°C cold even in warm summer days! You will get a map at the entrance and well english, french, german and italian speaking guide will tell you where to go first etc. You can spend hours walking around and still dont get enough of the nature. Take a water and some food with you because there wont be a chance to buy something inside park.

The devil gorge is a must walk/hike. Stunning waterfalls, crossings, rapids, aquatic wonders. We were in a group of 3 families, mainly with teenagers - but i'd say young kids could come here too no problem.

Scenic drive up the mountain from Tolmin to arrive at the gorge. Received the best advice from any park entrance staff in all of Slovenia here- offered clear recommendations not only for the trails in the gorge, but for sites through the Soca Valley. The rivers offer an example of the wonders and surprises of nature- seems as though someone ("supreme landscape architect?") added pigment to the water and had a great sense of humor when carving the walls and tossing the boulders. A must see kinda place

The River Soca is emerald clear color ,you walk along the river, in between the mountain and the rocks, through the trees, just amazing beautiful. The air is clean and I felt I was in faery land.

Absolutely beautiful and gorgeous. Well worth visiting. A bit risky for families with small children, or for the elderly, because of the many slippery rocks and some wet dark tunnels. I personally liked these features. Definitely wear stable shoes - not flip-flops or something with slippery soles. My Teva sandals were efficient. This is closer to a real hike experience - if you want the beauty without the challenge, visit Bled Gorge instead. And: arrive early - later in the day tends to get crowded.

I made a detour to visit this place. It was worth it. Tour can probably be done in 30 minutes at high speed, but I spent 3-4 hours there taking many photos.

We have visited multiple gorges during our visit to Slovenia, including Vintgar. This was our favorite! There were less tourists and it is more grand. There are more stairs to climb making it a bit less accessible for some. I agree with what another reviewer said, go clockwise around the loop. It will be less effort with stairs. After you pay (just 4 euro), go up the road. You will come to a crazy bridge. Just a bit after you cross the bridge the trail into the gorge will be on the right. We went in the evening, the lighting was great. Enjoy!!

Tolmin gorges are located near the town of Tolmin, it could be easily found using "Tolminska korita" signs along the narrow asphalt road. There is a small parking at the entrance where the public road ends. The following tour must be made on own foot. There is an obligatory fee for entering the gorges but it is not expensive (about 2-3 ear per person). The is a nice high but quite narrow bridge across the main gorge with a marvelous view. It is highly recommended that you follow the marked visitor¨s route but the reverse order is possible, too. The majority of the route is in the shadow so that the visit offers pleasant rest in sunny and sometimes quite hot days in Slovenian mountains.

Very nice scenic tour into the gorges, suggest to take the tour clokwise direction (more downstairs as stairs climbing), you should try local speciality - Štruklji with walnuts.

This is a lovely gorge, takes about an hour to visit, it is breathtakingly beautiful. Unfortunately the guide hut did not have an English brochure, however it was not the brochure we were paying for, the trip was well worth it.

Great place for visiting even with smaller children. We usually aim for walks in the mountains, but on this day, the weather was not perfect, so our Slovenian friends suggested going to Tolminski Koryta. The place is stunning and it Soca is such an impressive river!I feel in love with Soca and I keep coming back!

If you are in this area, you have to visit Tolmin gorge. Nice and easy walk through the gorge is suitable also for young kids, but I suggest to have walking shoes not flipflops. Specially in summer time when is hot weather, the gorge is perfect choice to hide, becuase there is cool air and Tolminka river is very cold and not appropriate to swim. Defenitely I recommend to visit this place.

I was quite angry reading one of last reviews of Tolmin Gorge. I was there years ago and after reading that report I decided to check the reality. That is pure nature. Unfortunately my English is too poor to describe that beauty. Instead of words I added few photos. Let me add just few infos. The whole tour is not that long. It takes 1- 2 hours, it fully depends on how much time you would like spent during the walk. It is not an easy walk. It is not a dangerous one, but it is physically demanding. OK, I would not take too small children with me. I saw some of them during the walk and that left me quite in doubt how risky it is. Once again. The whole trail is safe. And it is worth to visit it.
