I've been to this synagogue a long time ago and it was still a less touristic place then, however, I enjoy its original form and warm welcome by an attendant.

In the Jewish religious community in Presov, visitors can see not only the synagogue itself, but also a permanent exhibition Bárkányho collection of Judaica, which is located on the first floor and administrative point of Slovak National Museum, Department of Jewish Culture in Bratislava. The collection also contains articles of original contemporary Jewish Museum, which was founded in Presov in 1928. I love this place.

a building very close to the city center, almost unnoticeable with rather simple exterior but hides breathtaking, rich hand-painted decorations in a moorish style, similar to spanish synagogue in prague. one look at the pics and we were convinced for a visit!on the second floor - women’s gallery - there is a museum of jewish artefacts from the daily life of the community and about the history of the local jews. open:Tuesday-Wednesday: 11:00–15:00Thursday: 09:00–13:00Friday: 09:00–13:00Sunday: 14:00–16:00with 2 euro fee, plus 3 euro for a camera.
