View is nice, but the tower is not high enough in reference to surrounding trees. Some of them have been cut totally (including rare firs), some of them only lowered by cutting their tops - what looks awful on these beeches. If you like trees, this will disturb your view much. The guy who sold tickets was a bit nervous and not much kind.

This new viewing platform was built in 2012 at Karluv kopec (Charles hill) after the original 1896 project of architect Dusan Jurkovic.Is is 31 m high, the concrete foundation is lined with stone, the wooden parts are made ​​using wood of beech, spruce and fir.Unique construction places high demands on the complex elements of folk architecture, selecting the wood and that had to be a hundred years old. Hand-hammered copper elements had best reflect the spirit of Jurkovic buildings.Copper three-meter tower behind the box where hides objects of the present - as the history of towers, the current monthly Spektrum Rožnovsko, contemporary coins, as well as plum brandy.Tower offers a great view of the town of Roznov and mountains nearby.

After arriving to the parking place under the hill you have to walk through the forest path for like 20 minutes (easy walking) to arrive to the top where the watchtower is standing. In the begining surrounding trees were higher than the watchtower !! But they have allready cut them so now you can see really wall 360° around. There is entry fee (about 2 eur / person ) and you can also lend good binocular there for another 50 cents so your view will buch even much better. Tower is designed by famous architect Dusan JURKOVIC and its simply amazing-hardtofindsomewhereelse piece of structure :) ... there are also tables and sitting places around tower so you can eat lunch or just a rest for a while in peace of the forest.

Um lugar imperdível!! Do alto da Torre Rozhledna é possível ter uma vista panorâmica da cidade de Praga, com toda a sua bela arquitetura e todo o seu encantamento! Cansa um pouquinho subir toda a escada até o topo, mas vale muito a pena! Ideal também para tirar belas fotos! E o parque onde está localizada a Torre também é muito bonito!Super recomendo!
