Hot pool (no children allowed) with sauna and steam rooms, cold pools with dive boards and water slides. There is also a café and a swimming gear shop. Very close to Rosfjord Strandhotell.

A very beautiful place with great view to the sea...Nice personnel, a very positive experience. I will come again and spend a little more time in this area :)

This poor rating is solely based upon the fact that my six year old niece who is (very) allergic to milk and eggs couldn't find anything to eat on the menu except for an icecream or some fruit. You try go swimming for a day and live on that. The parents aren't allowed to bring some allergy-friendly food with them to Sørlandsbadet.

Great place, but get there early! When we left (about 1PM) there was a queue of people waiting to get in (one out - one in).. Dont miss: The relaxing pool for adults and children under the age of three.

We love Sørlandsbadet! There is one beachy pool that offer waves at certain times and it also has a "stream" and a little cavelike feature. The large pool has a diving area, some slides and larger water toys. The kids pool is nice for babies and small toddlers, with some toys and a small slide (moveable). There are 2 hot tubs, one by the kids pool and one outside. The one outside is quite popular. There is also a spa with a wellness area offering sauna, steam bath and outside there is a cold pond. Guessing this is seawater by the temperature, brr! The hot pool in this are is reserved for adults over 18, and kids under the age of three. You get a wristband when you go in, and this can be used to pay for drinks and food in the cafe, You pay as you leave. The kids wristbands can be pre filled. The changing areas/bathrooms are a bit cold in my opinion, and I guess they could do a better job managing the age restrictions for the wellness area.Thumbs up for large changing areas with many lockers and shelves for towles when you are in the pools.

We love to visit Sørlandsbadet with our children (age 3 and 5). There is a pool with a "beachfront" perfect for younger children. The large swimming pool is divided up with a designated part for swimming and one part for playing (popular for older children). If you have newborns/toddlers under the age of three, the "hot" pool is the perfect spot. This is a pool where only adults and parents with children under the age of three are aloud. Gives a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. In the summer there is an outdoor "fun&play" area with sun beds, slides e.g. When inside the area you don´t have to bring cash with you. All food and drinks you buy is "charge" on the special "keycard" which is your ticket. When you check out you make up your bill. For the children parents can "fill up" with credit up till NOK 150,-. Very neat way of keeping control! In the kiosk inside you can buy drinks, icecream and a selection of hot and cold dishes (salads, hotdogs, burgers, wok e.g.). There is also fresh fruit and yoghurt available. Mind bringing your own babyfood (don´t think they sell babyfood). We enjoy that there are 3 different "styles" of pools to choose from and the fact that it is easy to keep an overview and keep track of the children since the area not being to big. If we don´t eat at Sørlandsbadet, we like stopping at the pizza restaurant Jonas B. Gundersen in Lyngdal "down town".
