我们瑞典的朋友告诉我们这个地方,否则我们也许会错过。我们自己在这里玩得很开心(当时是唯一说英语的游客),一位音乐家告诉我们不同乐器的历史,然后在一个复制品上演奏了一段。比一般的乐器好多了。一定要找时间从小镇出来来这里看看。

单单是在林格弗音乐博物馆展出的音乐器材就非常值得参观,然而最精彩的部分是懂得多种语言的博物馆向导对这些音乐器材进行的演示。咖啡厅供应的午餐和蛋糕都很美味。从特隆赫姆(挪威城市名)市中心乘坐公交车到达这里很便捷,这家博物馆不容错过。

很喜欢这家博物馆。我们的导游,名字很好听,既有趣又博学。他在一些乐器上为我们进行演奏。可惜的是,这里不太适合孩子们展示音乐技能,进行交流。

我参加的是有导游参观,所以匆匆忙忙看了一个又一个展厅。那里能看的东西很多,可惜好好欣赏的时间不多。导游很有才,对乐器很了解,演奏起来也得心应手。作为一个小号手和法国号手,我很希望能多看到些铜管乐器……

It has now been made more clear, that it is the musically guided tour at 13 pm on Sundays that makes it worth paying us a visit this time of the year (April). It is correct as you say that the exhibition in the Barn is closed due to reconstruction. As a huge music fan ,I knew that Ringve would become my most favorite place in Trondheim in no time. Since the first moments I saw the whole scenery where the museum is located,the beautiful botanical garden and breathtaking view to the fjord,,I knew I would be coming back there really often. First of all,the botanical garden is really enchanting,especially in summer,with all the flowers,ponds, benches and alleys,a perfect place for a stroll, walk or rest. The garden isn't maybe that big,but still, it's a perfect place to relax. Second of all, Ringve museum is worth seeing, all the collections of instruments, interiors, all the musical atmosphere.Pity only that museum isn't that big.I really enjoyed also a very lovely cafe Ringve which is located just near the museum,:) I really love Ringve and will be coming back there very often:)

Ringve has a very nice collection of music instruments, and a staff that knows a lot about the history of the instruments and the area. Very nice place to visit with guests. The botanical garden was unfortunately in a bad shape when we visited it.

Ringve is a museum with a unique and extensive musical instrument collection in an old manor, organized by a Russian immigrant woman who married a wealthy Norwegian. Visitors are taken on a guided tour where the guides are music students who actually play on some the instruments that are on display. Live music in a museum is rather unusual!

So much to see, so much to do - loved it. Do the guided tour - it may take a while, but it's worth it. The entry fee may be a bit steep, but it's value for money. Hot tip: the cafe does an all you can eat buffet for 160 kr, which - for Norwegian standards - is dead cheap. And most delicious. We ended up staying for a good 3 hours, including food and tour.

Ringve museum is dedicated to music. It is a lovely place consisting of attractive buildings set in botanical gardens. Our guide was most interesting and had a sound knowledge of music and the many different types of keyboard instruments which she demonstrated. She even sang a lovely folksong to us at the end of the tour. Portable stools are provided for the less able. There are a number of steps connecting the various room levels. If you love music then this is the place to visit. Finish off with a lovely waffle in the nearby café! Enjoy!

A worthwhile experience to enjoy the History of Music. We were really amazed to see the wonderful collection of musical instruments so carefully preserved from antiquity. It was a delightful experience to learn the interesting history & development of music in the world. It was really an enjoyable to visit the Ringve museum excursion at Trondheim, during the Hurtigruten Northbound Fjord Cruise in Norway. Our young English-speaking Guide, Miss Bahareh Ahmadi captivated us by her charming warm friendly smile. She is not only qualified but has deep passion for music. Bahareh could easily play number of old instruments originally used in the past; we found her very well informed & trained for the job. Through her enthusiastic guidance we got the insight of History of Music & its periodic development. By actually playing a small stanza out of the compositions created by the grand masters, we were introduced to the beauty & harmony of some of their unforgettable tunes. I congratulate the museum authorities to engage the services of such capable & dedicated guides in the field of fine art so that the tour becomes a most satisfying experience. Einstein was fascinated by Mozart & sensed an affinity between their creative processes, as well as their histories. "A Genius Finds Inspiration in the Music of Another" Einstein once said that “while Beethoven created his music, Mozart's "was so pure that it seemed to have been ever-present in the universe, waiting to be discovered by the master." I certainly recommend fellow tourists to visit Ringve Museum.Visited on 28th Aug. 2014 with friends.

What a stunning place! The most amazing music museum, set in the middle of beautiful botanical gardens.We had a lovely guide whose English was perfect. She was studying for her Masters Degree in piano, so not only did she give us an excellent tour of the beautiful period rooms, but also played the harpsichords, claviers, pianos and organs in each of the rooms.After the tour, we went round the museum of musical instruments from around the world. There were thousands, ranging from simple African drums to the most complex organs, all beautifully displayed.We could have spent hours here. This was the highlight of our two week trip to Norway. If you are in Trondheim, don't miss it.

I've been here many times since I was a teenager and now I take my children here. Love the old houses and to see all this old instruments. You feel that you're walking in someones house from the 16th century. The Botanic garden is a must see and only a few meters from the museum

Ringve almost manages to toe the line that so few music museums succeed at; you actually get to hear some of the old instruments being played. The problem is you can only see these instruments by going on a guided tour; however, the guides are knowledgeable, friendly and talented, and it really is a thrill to hear centuries-old clavichords and clavinovas being played, all kept in good condition. Within the main house tour are some truly unique pieces, but, apart from the instruments that the guides play, there is definitely a look but don't touch policy.In the rest of the museum there is a rotating exhibition, which at time of visiting was about Chopin and Tellefsen. This relies heavily on your having the time and the legs to stand and watch videos on a touchscreen, most of which were just lifted from a longer documentary.In the barn area there was a large collection of instruments from all over the world; sadly, almost all of them were behind glass. Interesting to see, and there was detail on the history of them, but instruments are meant to be played, not sit there gathering dust.
