ligatnes nature trails

Really nice walking track. Saw most of the animals in fairly good enclosures. Some very friendly cats around the trail were actually our highlight! Bring a packed lunch for a snack along the way.

Took us around 1.5h to walk the trail. Beautiful sights and also a chance to see some of Latvian wild animals. We saw wild boars, owls, lynx, moose, fox and a lot of crows. Well built trail suitable for children and elderly people. Also there was a smaller trail for disabled people in wheelchairs. Superb sites are visible from the view tower.

Its a bit of a walk through the forest with animals in enclosures, though most of them weren't there the day we visited. There are some great views from the top of the viewing tower. Its a decent place to spend some time in the forest though nothing particularly special.

We have been here in may 2013. We didn't see much animals - just owls, boar, fox, dogs (it was written that they are wolf-hibrid), racoon dog. Yes, the weather was good but I don't think it is worth visiting

It is like a Zoo in the nature. It takes some time to walk around, but it is nice. They have bears, deers, wildboar and some other animals there. The area around is very beautiful - do visit Līgatne and cliffs at the Gauja river. If you have one free day to spare, the nature is worth seeing.

you can visit also in winter, but half of the animals isnt there in winter, and also no one is maintaining tower, so lots of snow there, but if you are prepeared for snow then its ok!Its about 5$ adults and 2$ student, but in winter it was for free!!Nice place to spend half of your day there!

A great idea to do with kids, in the forest you kan spot animals in the wild, safely behind a fence.

A lot of adventures you can find on Ligatne trails. Animal parks, old wooden Ligatne's village, caves, trails, old Soviet underground bunker, recreation centre, etc.

it is some distance from Riga and you need to allocated entire day to got there! nature trails are rather long, but you also can choose to walk through shorter distance trails. you can see there Latvian wildlife representatives - wild boar, some dear, bear... on the way to Riga you also can visit Ligatnes nuc bunker, which was hidden from even locals up till 2005! great place to see soviet army propoganda...

Lo que se promociona como un gran zoo al aire libre, no es mas que un paseo masificado entre los bosques típicos de la región. Los cuatro animales encerrados estan muy dejados y su visibilidad es escasa. Teniendo en cuenta el precio y lo que se ofrece creo que no vale para nada la pena.

Всё здорово, но эти лестницы! А вообще очень здорово, свежий воздух, зверюшки. Только возьмите бинокль, звери прячутся, некоторых удалось разыскать с помощью зума в фотоаппарате. И попить, в жаркую погоду жажда начинает мучить уже через 5 минут.

Чем понравился Лигатне: Вы можете совместить прогулку по лесу с посещением зоопарка. Лигатне - это место, где звери живут как на воле. Здесь нет клеток. Тропа идет около мест, где живут звери.Например, Вы идете по мостику, а под Вами обрыв и внизу значительная территория, где живет медведь. Его можно видеть на расстоянии. Видно, как он с аппетитом купается в речке. Прошли дальше, а там вдали рысь гуляет... Звери не мучаются в тесных клетках, а живут свободно. Мне понравилось.

Хорошее место для семейного отдыха. Но в этот раз были не все звери. Может скоро их добавят. Хотелось бы увидеть побольше зверюшек)))

Es una senda a través de un bosque donde vas viendo diversos animales. Hay una senda corta y una larga, nosotros pensábamos hacer la corta pero al final nos liamos y acabamos haciendo la larga; la longitud total de la senda según leímos son unos 5 kilómetros. También se puede visitar el parque en coche, pero esta ruta es mayor y en realidad tampoco veras mucho a no ser que vayas parando. Para verlo tranquilamente se necesitan unas 3 horas por lo menos, pero nosotros verlo en menos de 2 horas. Se pueden ver: alces, zorros, osos, ciervos, linces, lobos, jabalíes, ardillas, erizos y aves; nosotros no los vimos todos pero unos cuantos sí.Para nosotros fue un paseo entre un bosque muy frondoso, que sólo por eso ya merece la pena. Hacía el final de la visita ya estaba atardeciendo y se notaba la poca luz que había con los árboles tan altos. Nos gustó bastante, pero con más luz habría estado mejor. Salimos pasadas las 7, la taquilla ya estaba cerrada, y la barrera para coches también, pero el acceso para peatones estaba abierto. No éramos los únicos, había otro grupo familiar con carritos de niños incluido, que salía a esas horas también, y en el parking todavía quedaba algún coche. Precio 2’50 Ls.
