Pretty, well maintained public gardens. You go down a patha nd then there is an amazing view of Mt. Etna right in front of you. A perfect place for a picnic lunch - try the sandwich shop called Mamma Mia right up the block from the entrance (#59) -- it's mentioned in the Michelin guide.

It is a must see place in Taormina - the view is amazing, the park is beautiful, entrance is free. The road to the villa contains lots of good restaurants and shops that are not so expensive as on a Main Street. This was the most remarkable place during our visit to Taormina at January 2015 - enjoy!

Beautiful, well maintained gardens, close to the city centre. Almost always has a lot of people, but not crowded, you can find your spot to relax.

These gardens are amazing, and we were there in November which is not peak season. The walks and views are lovely; some of the structures need a little repair after the heavy rains, but during peak season this lush garden park would be a wonderful refuge from the heat of the day.

A great option to visit in Taormina. Beautiful view and a very well-kept garden. Very good place to go hiking.Recommend.

Great gardens away from the hustle & bustle of main street. Serene and doesn't take very long to walk thru. Beautiful scenery!

We only visited the gardens to make up time between activities and I'm glad we did. It is a piece of serenity in the heart of Taormina, away from all the tourists and vibrant Corso Umberto. The gardens are not very large and you don't need much time if you don't have it, but take a moment to sit on one of the benches and just take it all in. The stone picnic tables & benches on the far side of the garden is quite incredible. Almost in the centre of the garden is a very interesting villa and there are some war statues and items including a two person underwater torpedo. Many great views over Taormina and Mt Etna in the distance. There are public toilets but no toilet paper (take tissues) - There was a man sitting outside on a bench selling pieces of toiletpaper. I'm not sure if he was officially the toiletpaper seller or simply an entrepeneur. Gotta love Italy!

A must for everyone visiting this beautiful town - whether you are a gardener or not. Also provides welcome shade on days when it is 39 degrees at midday.

Arrived as the gates were opened, so I had the gardens and views to myself. Visited a number of times on my early morning walks around Taormina. Recommend any visitor to Taormina to go at least once.

During our recent family holiday to Taormina, we visited these beautiful gardens twice and they were a really wonderful haven from the heat and the hustle and bustle of the Corso Umberto. They are so well kept and feature lots of interesting buildings and terraces (caged parrots were an odd addition and maybe un-necessary?) with many benches to sit and admire the surroundings, either the gardens themselves or the views of the sea and Etna. On our second visit, we purchased pizza and arancini from a nearby bar and picnicked on a bench - the best lunch we had in Taormina :) Definitely well worth a visit or three!

It's only a public garden with free entrance which is great - a welcome break from the bustle of Taormina with stunning views.

The view over the sea and the amazing vulcano Etna, we also managed to the the lava flow that evening. The nice trimmed plants in the garden, the flowers and the quietness.

The gardens are an oasis of freshness against the lunchtime heat, so if you are out and about shopping, this is the right place where to stop between 1.30pm and 4pmish when the shops re-open. Also a good spot from the "terrace" to take pictures of the sea and mt Etna
