Visited Vatican City (Vatican Museum , St.Peter's ) in March. We were about to enter from the museum entrance without a guide but the queue is always huge. Ticket is 20 euro if you try it alone. Thing is that waiting over 2 hours is something painful. The alternative is to go with a guided tour which will give you the chance with 35 euro to enter the Vatican museum without waiting at all, and go first to the museum, after that to Cappella Sistina and through there to St.Peters.No waiting in any of these. The guide is responsible and having his/her way to get you through. Totally worth it in my opinion.

Start early, make sure you pre purchase tickets so you can walk straight in. Large bags need to be stored and there is so much to see in the museum. Young children will get tired but lots to distract them with. The Sistine Chapel won't disappoint but unless children understand the story behind it, it will mean little to them. Silencio!!

This year I've visited Vatican for the first time together with my fiancee, and we've both found this place magical. It's an enjoyable combination of spirituality, art and architecture; What make the atmosphere even nice was the fact that we've matched to listen to pope francis prayer.

Vatican city is absolutely magical, you have to see it during the day and in the night as well. We've been there at sunset and there no words to describe how magical it was. :)

There was a Mass being held there ... what a great experience. But if you don't mind queuing .... it will be worth it.

I had no idea The Vactican City, is actually a city in itself. It is huge with it's own radio station and hospital. Go with a tour group so to bypass the never ending lines. Anticipate lines wherever you go @ the Vatican, especially St. Peter's. Every waiting minute is worth the effort as it is like nothing on earth. It is a must see. Tip#1. Go EARLY, the earlier the better. Tip #2. Plan to spend the day and wear your best walking shoes. (not recommended for strollers and wheelchairs.)Tip #3. Do Not buy things outside the Vatican. Sadly, it is very commercial and cheap. Tip #4. Keep your valuables close and protected, pick pockets everywhere, even here.

Nice area with so many great things to see. We spent one day here and that was plenty! The quality of craftsmanship and artistic ability is amazing!!

In awe for entire tour.. Plan on a guided tour, otherwise you will be in the que forever. We spent 2 full days. One day with guide and 2nd day attending Sunday Mass on Vatican square. many cheap souvenir shops close to Vatican. Money better spent on souvenirs from museum gift shops.

We very very lucky to have accomadition rather close to the Vatican. Beware of pickpockets, lots of vendors selling items. We decided to walk around the Vatican City following the large exterior wall, big mistake, we got lost and had to get a taxi back to hotel. Overall a beautiful place to see.

My wife and I planned to spend a whole day exploring the Vatican City, and we are so glad we did!The place is stunning, a true wonder, beautiful does not describe it!Everything was perfect, from the efficient and friendly staff, to the warm and caring nuns, and fathers we where lucky to start chatting too.The spirit of the place as you would expect being in the heart of the Catholic Church, was humbling and uplifting at the same time. The way people where asked to remove hats and cover bare shoulders was respectful, then the gift shop had a bobblehead of the Pope! A great balance of old and new world coming together! My wife and I enjoyed every bit of our visit, the grandeur, the spiritualness and the art all breath taking. If you are fit enough, the view from the dome is spectacular!A real must visit!
