There are spots where you could see breathtaking views of the gulf of trieste. Well worth a visit specially during summer time.

Named after Reiner Maria Rilke, who used to stroll there when he was the guest of the princes of the local Duino castle, and who - they say - was inspired by the wonderful views, this is a spectacular walk, made safe in the last 20 years. The walk, some 30 minutes long, is on the edge of a spectacular cliff, 60 to 90 meters above the sea below.

One of the main attraction of Duino, the "Rilke Path" has been closed because nobody wants to pay the insurance rate any more.It's a shame, that this beautiful path has been blocked just because the local politicians and the owner were not able to find a solution.

I have taken this route many times, from Duino side as well as from Sistiana and it offers really breathtaking views of the Trieste bay annd hte surrauondings. If you need to relax and enjoy the veiws a bit this is definitly worth the walk!

Entered via the Duino entrance, firstvery easy, later a bit uneven but then formidably closed off. Some very spectacular views of the sea and Duino. Also apoarently interesting cilturally and biologically. The Path is closed on order of the owner, prince Turno e Tasse, who lives in Duino Castle, " because of the many suïcides". It seems to be a legal dispute ... Best to inform yourselves of you want to walk the whole Path

... one visiting should be careful, especially taking a walk with children, as it was partly without the fence.

Meraviglioso sentiero. Fare questa passeggiata da sempre un enorme piacere. Camminare con vista sul mare luccicante e tutta la stupenda baia sottostante. Uno dei panorama più belli in zona. Meta obbligata per chi è nei dintorni.

Stupendo percorso naturalista. Si cammina sul Carso e si ha una splendida vista sul mare. Ottimo punto di vista per la Barcolana.

fatta per l'ennesima volta, questa passeggiata mi riempie lo spirito e gli occhi, il mare luccicante e la stupenda vista della baia, non esiste panorama più bello. meta obbligata per chi è nei dintorni. resterete senza fiato.

Отличное место для пешей прогулки (в хорошую погоду) по красивому высокому берегу над морем! Лучше надеть удобную обувь.

Il sentiero Rilke è sostanzialmente una bella passeggiata molto facile e adatta a tutti che collega Sistiana e Duino. Consiglio di partire da Sistiana presso il punto informativo (si trova vicino all'uscita autostradale) così avrete sempre il castello di Duino di fronte. In questo periodo è doppiamente piacevole perché consente di apprezzare sia la bella visuale sul mare sia le colorazioni autunnali della flora carsica.

un tratto di costa dove la roccia calcarea carsica incontra verticale il mare. Tristemente nota per esser spesso teatro di suicidi,irrinunciabile bellezza aspra e selvaggia immersa nei profumi della macchia mediterranea.

come sempre in Italia non sappiamo valorizzare le nostre ricchezze.un percorso mozzafiato transennato per mancanza di fondi per la manutenzione.

Uno dei sentieri piu' belli d'europa , una passeggiata che da Duino finiscenella baia di Sistiana. Fatta da ragazzo ,da padre con i figli , con la fidanzata, da solo in un giorno no. Tristemente famoso anche per la sicurezza di suicidarsi , visto che se non ci riescono gli scogli ci riesce il mare in fondo Un sentiero che assieme a quello del ferroviere sotto Monte grisa e' da provare e vivere. Sempre se lo ridaranno in concessione al COmune.
