I dont know much about this bridge but it is a beautiful wooden bridge well worth seeing. Its an icon of Bassano del Grappa . Its a romantic bridge , a beautiful bridge and from all angles makes for a spectacuar view.

The ponte degli alpini is also known simply as the ponte vecchio and is beautiful. Standing on it you get a beautiful view of the mountains and countryside. The ponte vecchio and the immediate area is a bit of a hot spot for the younger crowds, who meet on it and then head to the local bars.

It's a must see and have a mezo&mezo drink on the bridge overlooking the river and the mountains. Bassano is a lovely old fashion town but trendy at the same time

We visited on a autumn evening, lights lit on the Ponte, few passerby, the river quietly flowing beneath. That was an experience by itself, since we never saw a bridge of that shape, old and full of history.

The bridge is probably the main attraction of Bassano del Grappa and very crowded on a Sunday afternoon. There is a small room/museum just of the bridge giving very good information about the history of the bridge, but unfortunately only in Italian, and various models of what the bridge looked like through the centuries. Entrance is free. On either side of the bridge there are a few nice cafes and bars with the traditional old Nardini distillery (now bar and shop) and the Poli Grappa museum being close together on one side. Very nice place to linger around for some time and get a taste of different Grappas. After all this is what the town is famous for.

Excellent place to go in Bassano. Around the bridge there are bar, pubs, restaurants, places to buy souvenirs, etc. This bridge was destroyed many times along its live, including during the WW1 and 2. Don't miss the opportunity to buy some grappa, which is the drink produced in the city.

A ponte é uma das principais atrações da cidade. Histórica, charmosa e linda!!!Vale a pena vê-la do Palazzo Sturm. A paisagem da ponte com os Alpes ao fundo é incrível!!!Passei para todos os gostos: ao passear por ela, você curte a paisagem, produtos locais, museu.Ao atravessá-la, você vai em um cantinho da cidade quase esquecido, mas onde há lojinhas e uma bela estátua (Il Bacio).Fui em 2010 e me apaixonei por ela, tanto que virou passeio obrigatório quando voltar na Itália.

E' sicuramente uno dei più bei monumenti del veneto e probabilmente il ponte più bello d'italia. Ponte ligneo disegnato dal Palladio, ottimo luogo di passeggio, panoramico e pieno di vita

In Italia ci sono tanti ponti che hanno un passato storico (Rimini, Roma, Firenze, ecc.) ma questo di Bassano del Grappa ci ricorda la Grande Guerra ed il sacrificio di tanti italiani per difendere questo nostro bel Paese. E su questo ponte sono fioriti amori e canzoni d'amore.... Certamente Bassano del Grappa merita una visita e questo ponte ne è il simbolo. Ma poi, non dimentichiamo le grappe... che proprio qui trovano l'humus naturale. insomma ci sono tante valide ragioni per venire su queste vecchie travi di legno.....

che ndire la storia della grappa passa di quà...provate l'aperitivo della casa e la famosa taiadea..e finire la grappa..avanti tutta!!!!

Lo conosco da quasi settant'anni e mi racconta le storie della Grande Guerra durante la quale ho perso uno zio (naturalmente mai conosciuto...).

... se si va sul Ponte Vecchio se ne sente la potenza.D'inverno diventa un po' fastidioso, ma d'estate quando fa caldo il Ponte Vecchio diventa una meta obbligatoria RINFRESCANTE.
