Had a look inside as we walked past as we heard an organ being played. It looked amazing inside. A proper old school looking church which are amazing to look around. The organ playing unfortunately was at the end of its session playing.

Be sure to stop in at Aida for coffee and pastries. On a nice day, you can sit outside and listen to the bells of San Fedele.

A stunningly beautiful church just a short walk from the Cathedral. It's quiet and serene inside with plenty to see and enjoy. The wood-carved scene of Hell in the northeast corner is a fun surprise.

The Basilica it's located in center of the town and marks it together with the Duomo of Como. It's surrounded by a little italian square( you can feel the italian style and taste of this square) where you can relax over some terraces before you go the lake.Very nice and relaxing!

The basilica is located in the city center. It dates from the eleventh and century. The architectural style is Romanesque. The massive church has three naves. I read that the facade and bell tower have been altered somewhat as a result of restoration work in the early twentieth century. it resembles many churches/cathedrals that we saw on this tour, but I always enjoy the lovely paintings that are on display in each. The Basilica of San Fedele is no exception. It definitely worth a visit!

Another beautifully decorated Italian church. Beautiful ceilings and an unusual depiction of hell. This is a very old church built originally in the 6th century and rebuilt in the 11th century.

The basilica is extremely quaint and both the walls and ceilings are covered in beautifully detailed murals. Very peaceful.

This is a simple and elegant and peaceful building that you cant help but linger in. Smack in the middle of town you might as well go in rather than walking around it, you will enjoy the quiet and coolness.

San Fidele is easily found in the centre of Como. It stands in a piazza where there is a Saturday market and stepping inside is a refuge from the noise and hustle outside.

This is one of the oldest buildings in Como, and is situated in a sweet square with cafes which are perfect for relaxing and people watching. The square and Basilica areidefinitely worth a visit.

if you romanic churches, this is a good example, with lots of silence and far from tourist attractions. If you're lucky enough to arrive while organ is playing, the atmosphere will be so unique... Unfortunately you probably need a car or a 20 min walk from city center to reach this place, which is not well positioned in the city

Hundreds of years of religious building history and multiple layers of beautiful fresco’s are in this one small church. A must see if you are in Como
