This tower, together with the Rhine Gate Tower and another one, are the 3 medieval defense tower that were preserved in Konstanz.This one was built in 1321 and it was used as a towns´s prison, specially after the Council of Konstanz has finished, when the King imprisoned many people here in order to have them paying to be released and pay his debts with that money.A place full of history, nice to visit with a nice walk along the river Rhine.
