Dear Daniel, thank you so much for taking the time to give us feedback on Tripadvisor! We are very happy that you enjoyed your visit at SEA LIFE Konstanz! You express concerns about our price. SEA LIFE Konstanz is an independent company, which has its origin in England and belongs to the Merlin Entertainments Group, as mentioned above. This means that we, unlike zoos, do not receive any subsidy. Just to ensure that our marine creatures have a natural and healthy environment entails high costs. Despite the missing subsidy we offer different discounts to our guests like Online-Tickets, vouchers or Family-Tickets. We are looking forward to welcoming you again in the future. If you have any further questions or ideas for improvement fell free to contact slc.konstanz@sealife.de.Kind regards,Pia Schlipphak

Dear steamwolf,Thank you for using Tripadvisor and for giving us feedback.SEA LIFE Konstanz belongs to the Merlin Entertainments Group; therefore it is true that all the SEA LIFE Centres all over the world are related. However, every SEA LIFE does have its very own special exhibitions and a different variety of fish and animals. Our aquarists design every tank individually, so that it is appealing and interesting to every visitor, even to the ones that have been to other SEA LIFE Centres before. With your admission ticket you can also take the opportunity to explore the surrounding area of the Lake of Constance in the Museum of Natural History, which is located in the same building, in more detail. You express concerns about our penguins. Our gentoo penguins are breeds from Brest and Edinburgh. They are doing very well, mentally and physically. One proof for this is that in 2012 they gave birth to a baby. This is one of the best signs they can give us to show us their well-being. The temperature in our Antarctica area sticks with the rules of local authorities, correlating with the minimum and maximum temperature and matching the needs of the penguins. Also, there is snow, ice and dizzling rain. The lighting in the Antarctica area also matches the natural daylight cycle. The penguin compound also matches their needs. There are no polystyrene rocks, all of the rocks are natural concrete rocks. Our aquarists and a veterinarian are constantly taking care of their well-being and make sure they are feeling good and not at all depressed. Dear Beda, thank you for using Tripadvisor and for giving us feedback. You express concerns about the exhibition being small and not special. While it is true that there are several bigger aquariums in the US or other countries, we do have over 40 aquariums with more than 2,000 fresh- and saltwater fish at SEA LIFE Konstanz and over 100 different species of other marine creatures .Among these are many exotics like seahorses, anemone fish, rays, sharks and penguins. Our highlight is an eight-meter-long tunnel that leads through a pool of about 320,000 liters of seawater, which is thematically inspired by the Red Sea.In addition to information boards and small lectures we do have a “touch pool”, where our visitors can touch a starfish or empty shark eggs. Our "Dive Log" is also an entertaining and educational addition to the exhibition. If you have enough time you can calculate about 60-90 minutes for the tour. There is also the opportunity to explore the surrounding area of the Lake of Constance in the Museum of Natural History in more detail with your admission ticket. Since this is a day ticket, you can also go and visit the center several times. Many of our guests like to take this opportunity in the late afternoon or after lunch. If you have any further ideas for improvement fell free to contact slc.konstanz@sealife.de.Kind regards,Pia Schlipphak

  • Schloomi
Dear Schloomi, thank you for your feedback on Trip Advisor about your visit at SEA LIFE Konstanz. We are happy that you enjoyed most of your exhibition. The personal interaction between our visitors and our staff is very important to us.We try to provide as much information in English as we can like English Guidebooks, information boards in English and nearly every of our employees speak English, who like to spread information to all our guests.Unfortunately, our toilets are, because of structural reasons, only at the entrance and at the exit. We apologise for this. There are signs which are supposed to draw attention to the toilets. If you have any other comments, please share them with us: slc.konstanz @ sealife.deKind regards,Benedikt VolzPublic Relations
  • Tomeuescalas
Dear Tomeuescalas, thank you for your feedback on Trip Advisor about your visit to the SEA LIFE Konstanz. Sorry that you were not completely satisfied with your visit to our SEA LIFE center. You express concerns about the number of visitors.SEA LIFE is a so-called "Indoor - attraction," a closed center. The safety of our visitors is paramount. We try to control a strong stream of visitors in the Center by instructing our cashiers and our time-controlled door in the first exhibition room. Further improvements are currently being planned. But some of our aquariums are "crowd pullers", so that backlogs can happen. We have no influence on that.In case of a claustrophobic, or another major incident all of our staff members get steadily trained to handle such an emergency. If you have any other comments, please share them with us: slc.konstanz @ sealife.deKind regards,Benedikt VolzPublic Relations
