位于城市高处的小山上,从集市广场步行5分钟可到。城堡主楼设为博物馆,但宽阔的外围是观景平台,有树木、花草和休息用的,能够尽览城市风光。

This schloss, built in 1050 commands a perch above Tubingen and offers 360 degree views of the surrounding area. Take the time to wander through the little tunnel connecting the inner courtyard with the exterior roadway and imagine all the people from medieval times who have come before.

There are many reasons why this castle is well worth seeing. First, the walk up to the castle takes you through the old city, full of medieval and Renaissance buildings. Once there, the views are lovely. But a hidden treasure in the castle is the archeological museum. A particular treat comes in the room with models of ancient Greek statues painted as they were in classical times. I never knew the ancient Greeks liked such garish colors.

Tuebingen, the Neckar walk, the Castle and the old city center. A must to visit when you come to the southwest in Germany. Tuebingen is one hour by train from Stuttgart. As you come out from the train station you walk out trough a beautiful park along the river Neckar. Then up a steep narrow road called the Neckar Gasse, past the big Church called the Stiftskirche over to the Marktplatz and Rathaus (Civic Centre) which has been beautifully renovated, follow the sign Zum Schloss. Once arrived there you have 360 degrees to look over Tuebignen. The Schloss has a great history and lots of beautiful buildings from past times, now housing Galleries, Restaurants and Hotels. Try the local cousine - out of this world. On the way back to the train station try the bakeries and patisseries - mouthwatering.

I was a bit disappointed by this honestly. The walk through the city of Tubingen is more interesting than this castle, I think. There's not much to see outside the entrance and the view of the city outside the castle grounds. The castle is not bad, it's just not that memorable. With the exception of a few old buildings, the city of Tubingen itself is a bit underwhelming considering all the buzz. I would rate this as average (the city and castle). Stop in only if it's on the way or if you're heading to Bebenhausen (this itself is worth the train ride to Tubingen).

I just love walking around the castle and there are wonderful views of all of Tuebinigen from the castle. You can walk up beautiful stone paved roads up to the castle and even take a walking path back down into town. This is a must see if anything for the views.

Enjoy a walk, take photos, see the scenic view of old town, listen thechurch bells. This castle is at height and you need to climb a little.it will be difficult to get a guide but browsing through internet and self-exploration will give you more joy.

While enjoying the city of Tubingen, it is worth the walk up the hill to the castle. The castle itself is nice, and offers scenic views of the city from around the castle grounds. You don't need to allot very much time for this excursion, but it's good to visit while in Tubingen.

The old city castle overlooking the ancient city, quite a nice view of the surroundings. Part of the university now, sometimes with expositions.

A small and charming castle right in the heart of Tubingen with great views of the city and valley around!

The shloss is on the hill above the town. It houses part of Tubingen's university faculty. There are lovely views from the walls and a trail around and under the castle back out into a side road of the city. There is not too much to see and no tour of the inside, but still a nice walk to get there.

We enjoyed hanging out here for a couple of hours during our castle trip but I wouldn't drive here specifically to see this castle. It was interesting to know that the university at this location nucleic acids were discovered.

Worth a walk to, good views over the town there was an exhibition on but didn't see it. There are no cafes or shops that I saw there.

Well worth a walk up the hill. A very nice castle, although there's not masses to see. The views are decent. The museum is good and the entry fee not too terrible (by German standards). The newest exhibits were very decent and signed in English. The older exhibits were solely signed in German and seemed a little dependent on a vast collection of plaster statues. That said, we spent a good hour looking around.

Nice place and free of charge. Might be better in summer. Somehow it is missing WOW feeling. Good for one time visit
