Do not bother to step into this building. Regensburg has so much to offer for history loving tourist; prepare the visit to Regensburg at home using the Internet. The "Besucherszentrum" has nothing significant to add in my opinion.

If you are in Regensburg for the first time and want to inform about city. This is the best place for learning Regensburg. They have different sections that you can get informations. I definitely recommend this place!

Then the Besucherzentrum is your place. The friendly staff at the one and only desk is helpful and provides relevant information - if you know what to ask for. You can buy brochures and Info Materials and get pointers on where to go to buy more.. Not much Regensburg Info around. The globe display is somewhat irritating and less then clear in its meaning. Bathroom facilities difficult to get to on 1st floor without elevator.

Not only is this treasure steeped in medieval history, Regensburg was for me the highlight day trip of our Danube River cruise this past June. Although not a high energy big city, Regensburg offers architecture and ambiance not seen elsewhere and a powerful vibe that continues to haunt and lure me back again. This town is special in that it escaped the bombings of the wars and the townsfolk had the good sense to preserve its history.

Walk as much of the Old Town as you possibly can! Great place, wonderful old buildings. It´s like walking in a mix of Art Calleries and Movie Scenes, Restaurants and Museums, Churches and Castles - all mixed together. Plenty of places to eat and drink, but do have a good look around before you do. They just don´t make buildings or build cities like this anymore. It´s actually a place I will not forget, and want to go back to! Bring good walking shoes - it´t a pretty place to lose weight. And to climb the bell tower! It´s worth the view.

We arrived at Regensburg railway station from Passau after travelling for about an hour, and getting a good view of the countryside and the River Danube. After finding somewhere to stay for the night we went out exploring the area and spent the rest of the day walking around enjoying the sights. We also made good use of a little tour train that took us around lots of interesting places which helped us to get our bearings. It is a very nice place to visit with lots of shops and many quite narrow streets.

I was in the centre for 10 minutes tops. The windows have nice views over the bridge and the River Danube.. but all of the exhibit explanations are written in German. No translations. The staff stay at the sales booth and the exhibits aren´t very exciting anyway.I was quite disappointed by the museum/ centre

Отличное место, чтобы начать пешеходную экскурсию по этому замечательному старинному городку. Практически все достопримечательности распаоложены в центре старого города, только дворец Турн и Таксис чуть в стороне. Очень информативное место.

Der Alte Salzstadel wurde zu einem informativen Besucherzentrum ausgebaut, in dem sich auch Kinder vielseitig informieren können. Sehr gut ist die offene Balkenkonstruktion, die einem einen Einblick in die damalige (Salz-)Lagermöglichkeit gibt.

Regensburg è la città medievale meglio conservata della Germania e dal 2006 è Patrimonio dell'Umanità dell'UNESCO. In passato è stata capitale del Sacro Romano Impero ed entrando in questo centro visitatori dell'Unesco si possono utilizzare play station interattive e installazioni multimediali che aiutano a capire meglio la storia della città, ma è anche uno spazio usato per diverse mostre a Ratisbona.

Das Besucherzentrum ist sehr eindrücklich und interessant. Die Geschichte der Stadt wird sehr gut dargestellt. Auch die Lage gleich bei der Steinernen Brücke ist gut gewählt.
