We went on a quiet day. It was a long walk from the parking area to the zoo, but at least there wasn't a waiting line. Tickets were only 14.50 and we started walking around. A lot of animals were asleep during the morning, and most of the animals were inside. The animals we saw looked quite healthy and there cages/areas looked large enough. The zoo has a lot of animals and the Dolphin show was allright. The end of the show was less spectacular, because it was mainly informational. Overall the zoo is pretty descent. It's good enough to have a nice day.

It was a cold, blustery, icy day at the zoo for us, and we loved it. Watching the interactions between the staff and some of the animals showed that the zoo keepers care both for the animals, and involving the people attending. Meerkat and sea lion feeding time should be seen, particularly if you have youngsters. We only managed a bit more than half of the zoo in ~4.5 hours. Never made it to the dolphin show, although we spent a fair amount of time watching the river dolphin swimming laps.

Nothing to dislike. All animals could be seen. Great for photography. The dolphin show is fantastic. It is a large zoo and on a hill. So it requires a bit of effort walking, but every enclosure is worth visiting.

Absolutely loved this zoo and Iv been to many around the world and this tops most of them. I love the amount of animals there are and the way the zoo is open until dusk so you can walk around with nobody else about, which is far more relaxing. The Dolphin show was amazing and it was lovely how the trainer interacted with them, a lot more than the trainers at Sea World, which made it nicer for he dolphins. It was a very unusual zoo, and the grounds were lovely. I really felt the animals were looked after properly, unlike some zoos you go to. I loved the fact that the sloth was free to roam around the monkey enclosure. I loved the Koalas, as I have never seen them before so it was extremely interesting. It was a great find as tourists probably don't find the place as it isn't mentioned much. Most tourists would probably visit Cologne zoo, but I thought this zoo looked much nicer on Google. Definitely come back, One of the nicest, if not the nicest zoo I have ever visited.

Visiting Germany we were amazed of very nice, pretty big Zoo, located near Dusseldorf.Visiting some Zoo in Latvia, Italy, Russia and Tunis here was only one with Koalas and Dolphins.Lovely Dolphins show and absolutely sleeping Koalas :) .As well as others Zoo it has huge diversity of animals, birds and so on.Tickets price is absolutely adequate 36 Eur for family tickets.Car parking near Zoo for 2,5 Eur.

If one likes zoos then the Zoo Duisburg will not disappoint.Explore the zoo's informative website prior to a visit.Entrance fees are reasonably priced for what the zoo has to offer.Bring time to spend at the zoo, as the areal is big and as the zoo offers a vast amount of animals, including koalas, dolphins, penguins, elephants, giraffes, seals and apes, just to name a few of the many, many animals, big and small the zoo is housing. Some simple gastronomy options on site. Parking is available, yet not right adjacent to the zoo. A low parking fee is charged in certain parking areas. Depending on where you park, a bit of walking to the zoo entrance is required.

Over the last years the zoo has improved very much. The aquarium has been finished and is very impressive. It is really worse to visit, alone or with family. I will return.

Great for a day out with the kids. It's substantial and would need at least 1/2 - 3/4 of a day if you want to do a walk around with a stop at the dolphin show. Half of the aquarium section was under renovations, but I guess this should be finished soon. Overall, a pleasant experience despite us not understanding a word of German during the dolphin show!

A must when you are in Duisburg. Good to be reached by tram. In Duisburg zoo you have, beside lots of other animals, koalas, dolphins and meerkat. Once a year there is a runners event where the runners run on the tracks of the zoo along the animals in their cages or theit enclosures,

I had already been to this zoo about 2 years ago and must say that it has gotten even better since then! Last time they were doing some work in the aquarium next to the Pink River Dolphin, which is now open. They have got a really nice but small selection of fish which means there is enough to impress but not so much that you get bored of them! The primate house has changed a tiny bit in that the Armadillo has been replaced by Tortoises - the new enclosure looks really nice but the Armadillos are very entertaining and it will be a shame that they are no longer on display there. The rest of the ape house is as great as ever (although due to the weather most of the apes had decided to remain indoors). There is even a nice lego gorilla which was quite impressive! Finally something which really made my day, and was part of the reason for visiting was the baby Koala! It is incredibly cute and has started eating solid food which we managed to see... This is something which you simply can't see every where so I would recommend coming and seeing it before it gets much bigger... It is absolutely adorable. We ate in the restaurant where the Curry Wurst and Schnitzel were as lovely as ever, but sadly the service was also as miserable as ever! All of the keepers and front of house staff however were very friendly with smile all around!

Its a pretty nice zoo and the only one I've eve been to thats so close to a highway since the highway runs through the zoo - but you never notice that unless you enter the bridge thats even surrounded by nature. There are many walkways but not too many so that you don't see the same things for too many times. Best attraction for sure is the dolphin show that happens couple times during the day. Nice stadium and nice show.

great place to visit for young and old!!! the last time we went there, we arrived t 11am and stayed until 7pm. we had a fantastic time (my daughter at that time was 3 years old, and my parents at that time were 87 years old).and, most importantly to me personally, the animals are being taken care of properly. no animals being 'too caged' - none of them had the typical 'locked in' syndrome, where the animal walks up and down the same strip of path.and the dolphin show was excellent - my daughter was even envious to see a little boy being pulled around in the little boat by one of the dolphins!!!

Very nice zoo, plenty of animals to see and a good attraction for the day. Very easy to view all the animals and to enjoy the park as is very spacious. Good day out for all the family
