Did this at night, so not the best as the zoo is not well light or suited for night viewing. But the lions, elephants and large donkeys were pretty cool. Something to do in Munster.

We had a really good time at this zoo when we visited, I love the concept that the vast majority of the zoo is viewable under cover so bad weather will not significantly impact on your day. We was lucky to have good weather, but sadly we didn't see the zoo to it's full potential due to already being already tired from a long trip, but I would definitely visit again!

It was my opa's birthday and we went for his birthday. The buffet we had was very good, service was lovely and the desserts yummy. The atmosphere with the elephants behind us whilst eating was something to remember

This is a well kept zoo, laid out so that you can walk round easily and not miss anything. When we went, there were so many babies that it seems the animals are content and well looked after. Good day out and you can get there by boat on the Aa See which adds to the experience.

A beautifully landscaped zoo. Most animals have good enclosures. I just wish the big cats could have had more space. A good day out.

I am not a zoo person but I enjoyed my day there. Some enclosures are small as people have written, but on the whole I think the animals seem to be looked after. Some zoos have giant enclosures and then you never see anything bu the balance isn't too bad here. I do feel it is a bit overpriced - but all zoo's are these days. There are many cafes and the play areas and relaxation areas are well done. Seeing the penguins come for a walk out of their enclosure is really nice! Kids would really enjoy this zoo.

Do not miss the walk of the pinguins, they march around the zoo and are very cute. Take your kids to feed the elephants! A great experience for youg and adults!

Went there with family and 2 (nearly) years old daughter. It was great fun and she had the time if get life. Would highly recommend.

We have visited before, but were shocked at just how much the conditions for the animals has deteriorated - many, especially the big cats are kept in enclosures far too small for them and they exhibit the endless back and forth pacing that signifies madness. Some have signs outside claiming that the zoo is trying to locate new homes for them as they understand the conditions are poor, but that really isn't good enough in this day and age and these have been up for an age..There is a lot of open ground, but the zoo can't seem to decide if it wants to be a kids play park or a zoo, so there are as many play areas as exhibits.I agree with others that the prices are steep (entrance and purchases inside), but worse was the attitude of the staff. The woman at the entrance who sold us our tickets was downright miserable, as was the ticket tearer and the sales people at the kiosks, who appeared to be mostly Sri Lanken. This is a service industry and customers expect courtesy and at least a smile, surliness is not acceptable. The keeper in charge of the lemur's was incredibly rude (I speak fluent German, so there was no misunderstanding!)This was unfortunately a really miserable day out and I could not recommend a visit to anyone.I suggest that the management take a good look at their business and make some rapid changes, especially in staff training.

The zoo is a decent size for a small town zoo. Animals seemed well cared for. I liked the exhibit of emus and zebras in one enclosure. The meercats were funny. All the usual animals, with some strange bears Ive never seen before. There was a photo booth machine, where you can make a customised postcard from the zoo, which was nice (its near the gift shop). Only issue was the price, a little too much in my opinion at 33euro for two adults.

Took my friend here while who was visiting was a beautiful summer day and a day was enough time to saunder around the park in no hurry. We fed the elephants and watched the Seal show, some of the other highlights were the wolves, the cheeters and the gorillas, as there is a baby at the moment, only a couple of months old! Süss!A little pricey, but a great day out. My second trip and would definitely go again

I thoroughly enjoyed this visit to Munster Zoo, mainly because it was first visit in almost 35 years, my last visit to a Zoo was in 1979 when I went to Duisburg Zoo. This visit was very good, but I am not in favour of what I call bad treatment of animals. What annoyed me the most at Munster was they had tried to cram in too much into a small space. In fact whilst there I must have crossed my path about three times and in so doing visit enclosures twice or three times. I felt that the seal and penguin display was a wee bit overboard and it annoys me when animals have to perform to earn their food. The elephant enclosure was too small for the numbers, also the Rhinoceros enclosure was very pitiful, watching them go round and round, just didn`t seem enough space. I also didn`t see any crocodiles, Kangaroo or Hippo, but perhaps they were away form the main enclosures. Other than those things I felt that the cost of E9.90 was sufficient, any more I would say it was too much. I enjoyed myself as well as my wife and grandson and if I had the chance of returning I would, but instead of 4 hours that I was there, I would make sure I spent at least 6 hours. Plenty of tables and chairs to see at and also food spots. So yes I did enjoy myself.

I used to take my children here 30 years ago so whilst in the area on a gorgeous summer day decided to stop by. Yes it's a zoo but I loved it and found afterwards that I had taken heaps of photos. The tiger got Sooo close just a piece of Perspex away, when he yawned I could see inside his mouth. The mother Rhino and her baby were playing and it was joyful to see. The monkeys are always entertaining and it was just as much fun to watch the people. Always amazing for me to see people taking their dogs to the zoo. Hmm I wonder what they think of the animals??

this zoo was really nice to visit and it's a wonderful place to spend the day with the family. It had a great variety of animals from reptiles and fish to lions and elephants and they had lots of place to roam around. the place is clean and children enjoy themselves. definitely worth a visit when visiting Muenster on a sunny day!

I had a great time! It is definitely a great competitor to all other Zoos in Germany. The shows are also very entertaining.
