This castle, owned by the Fürst Salm - Salm, is outstanding.It is a museum, a private residence, a hotel, restaurant and surrounded by a great park.When you come to Anholt you have to visit the museum and the park!I asked for a private tour in English and we received a great inside of the live in the midevil time. Dungeons, kitchen (below water level), huge library etc. - amazing!The park is big and the is a hedge labyrinth...nice for small and big kids

This is one of the best restored castles and grounds you can find. Beautifully set in well kept gardens, this castle is a real gem. The castle also holds a museum that you can visit (guided tours only) and includes a large painting gallery with a Rembrandt.

Het was even zoeken, want het is niet echt goed aangegeven. Maar het zoeken was de moeite waard. Een van de mooiste kastelen die wij hebben mogen ontdekken in een fantastische omgeving. De kasteeltuinen zijn echt een lust voor het oog. Fraaie waterpartijen afgewisseld met prachtig onderhouden gethematiseerde tuinen. Zelfs tijden ons bezoek in september stonden er nog vele bloemen in bloei. Het kasteel zelf is een plaatje.
