As an American working in Athens for the past few years I have found it challenging to find clothing at prices that come even close to what one would pay on the US. However, discovering the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Center in Spata was a real treat. McArthurGlen Athens is MUCH nicer than any outlet center I have visited in the states. They carry the latest styles and a wide variety. In addition the center has many dining options most with outdoor seating as well as indoor. AND there is so much for families: rides and play area for children, a supermarket as well as a large discount center. Some people appear to come for specific items while many come to spend the day.

I am so dissatisfied with this store. Have been buying Marlboro classics for years. Bought two pair of longs from this store and doubt they are real. I wore the one pair and the material tore on the first day. This is definitely not the same marlboro classics I've known foe years. Could they maybe not be originals? Maybe someone should check the authenticity of these garments.

Many designer's boutiques and well known brands for discounted prices. Worth of the trip. Only bummer is that you have to pay highway fee to get there...

First of all, good shopping, Ralph Lauren factory story also, prices not as in USA, but for EU is good. Second - good hygienic rooms - in Ladies toilet you can found toilet for mother and child with 2 toilets - for adults and for children's! It's awesome! And third - there is a great fontain near cafeteria with ice cream ( don't remember the name) and then you drink coffee your kids can run into the water streams and fun ( but you must have second pair of clothes or buy it in outlet or Smart park - big mall with H&M and other)!

I am a frequent visitor to the McArthur Glen mall and I think that it is currently the best shopping/entertainment spot in Athens. Not only it is a beautifully made mall as it is modeled after the Greek Neoclassical Architecture style, not only it has great bargains, not only it has free playgrounds for yourchildren, it also has great café's, various restaurants to choose from and they often organize free consents and other fun events. Basically this Mall combines everything, and now that it is connected to the other awesome mall of Athens, the Smart Park Mall, this is a destination that you can not afford to miss if you are in Athens.

We had a few hours to spend between flights so we decided to take a risk by going to this outlet for the first time. Take a metro from the airport station to DOUKISSIS PLAKENTIAS metro station. There is a free service bus from here to the mall and back (check the timetable). (metro ride is 1.4 €). This outdoor mall is huge (connected to Smart park-another outlet). Most of the international brand names are there along with some local greek brands. I bought a "Diesel" denim for 80€ and a few shirts at the H&M store for 9€ each). The place it self is well designed and decorated and the restrooms look like a Vegas hotel suite. Definitely recommended if you in between flights or in Athens for a visit. P.s.: a taxi from the airport will cost 30€ and up.

We are South African Greeks and were told about this shopping village, but could not believe it when we got there. The choice of goods is grrrrrreat! So too are the prices; of known brands and items to us the prices were as much as 50% cheaper than in our own country, which in itself is not bad. This is a true feast for your shopping eyes and it goes on forever - we loved it and are going back, definitely.The only drawback is that it is somewhat remote and there are no regular taxis, so please be careful if you intend shopping there before catching a flight - about 20 minutes from the airport. The only other way is to catch the Athens Metro to Doukissis Plakentias station and then take the bus to the shopping village - this may take you some 45 minutes min.

I visited this mall for the first time last weekend. I agree with a previous comment there are some good bargains to be found especially for brand names and high priced products. Parking is excellent and free but outside so you need good weather. From the road it does look most unattractive but once inside it is quite attractive. The clever part is that they have designed it virtually in two sections one half for shoppers and the other for entertainment. At the present time they are still building the sections which I presume will be cinema complex. The shopping area is pleasant to walk around, with restaurants and coffee shops. The children's section you pay for rides, and there were kiosks selling snacks and souvlakis with seating outside. Probably a good idea would be to fit picnic tables in this area. My main concern was that in the summer it would be very very hot there. This area is very open and with most parts uncovered I cannot imagine you would enjoy shopping there.
