Amazing beach. If you visit Rhodes, don' t forget to visit Prasonisi beach. You are kitesurfer or windsurfer visit Prasonisi. From one side of the cape there is the Aegean Sea with good waves and views for advanced surfers. From the other side, there is the Mediterranean Sea with flat water which is better suited for beginners. You prefer sunbathing and relaxing, visit Prasonisi. I highly recommend Prasonisi.

This is a bit out of the way but so nice. A little village with a couple of resteraunts many gift shops and grocery stores. We bought a couple of boogie boards for the kids and they body surfed the dramatic waves on the west beach. Here the Aegean meets the Mediterranean and the east beach is more tranquil its excellent here for windsurfing kite boarding and was a little windy. The beach is a huge sandbar out to the end of the island which dramatically rises up into a national park . Fantastic place very beautiful, had a really wild feel to it and a little hippy community.Whatever you want swimming , sunbathing, extreme sports, wildlife nature shopping hiking this place has the lot.Loose a day here no problem

Big beach and that is about it. Plenty of other prettier beaches to see in Rhodes. Not worth the drive or effort to go there.

Beautiful beach and excellent scenery - 2 seas meet and it is amazing to see the difference in colours, waves etc. There are lots of wind surfers/kiters etc. good swimming facilities, free car parking. Good price supermarkets and also places to eat and drink. There is a board which states the Greek government is considereing placing a power station here, which would be a travesty. We are not really beach lovers but would return and would recommend.

This beach is really interesting. There is really windy clima, so this beach is paradise for windsurfers. When it is high tide, there is no beach, just one island :) need to see this!

its a natures monument since it combines two sides of beaches one with calm sea for bathing and an other windy for sea sports, dont miss it if you are in rhodes

This is the place where the Mediterranean and Aegean seas merge. You can practice windsurf, kitesurf...or simply walk along 2 seas. Quite interesting to see.

So glad we drove down to Prassonisi. We were staying in Ixia the western side of the medieval city and rented a car so we drive around the islands coastline. We drove down to Prassonisi one morning taking us roughly 4 hours to get down there and back round the western coast. We parked in the free car pak on the beach and went for a swim in both the seas. It was an incredible afternoon spent in the sun with the Mediterranean one side and the Aegean the other. We didn't try them but there appeared to be some restaurants quite near to the end of the beach. Lots of windsurfing etc goes on here as the wind is pretty strong. Really recommend the trip

It is marvelous place and real heaven for kite and wind surfers. There are surfboards and wetsuits for hire. If you are not surfer yourself, this place is worth a visit just to walk along. Pay attention while walking by the coast line – novice kiters sometimes has difficulties to handle their kites. There is relatively quiet beach on the east side (at the very left). Some rocks in the water prevents surfers from going here and you can swim and snorkel (sea life is not rich, but still existent). Shallow water is good for children. It is windy place, so having your own sun umbrella will not work, but sunbeds are available for rent. Sweetwater showers are here as well. This special place is must to visit!

Very special view and atmosphere, it was a highlight during our vacation. If you stay in Atrium Prestige (Lachania), a late afternoon trip is highly recommended here.

A large area of orange sand the size of half a dozen football pitches separates the Mediterranean from the Agean seas. I visited on a dull and windy day and was amazed at the difference in the colour and movement of the waters. This is a must see whilst on Rhodes. Stroll across the sands and watch the water sports such as sailing, kite surfing and boarding your right and to the left .... still waters rippling undisturbed.

The meeting place of the two seas, very windy and not a great or safe place for swimming as the wind and kite surfers have taken over and go very quickly close to the beach. At the extreme southern tip of Rhodes despite having a map its not well signposted and we did pass the turn off and drove about ten miles past where we should have been before turning round and asking locals for directions. There are a couple of pleasant tavernas on the edge of the beach.

Beautiful Place to visit and would go back in an instance... The one comment that I would like to make is that there is a sign protesting about environment issues and the building of a power plant which I agree would spoil this area BUT the beach is also not environment friendly as the people that are using it are leaving their rubbish which can also have an detrimental effect on any wildlife and the seas.

It is definitely the windiest place I have ever been! We couldn`t literally keep our balance on our feet. Not to mention the accessories: hats, camera, etc.! Besides these aspects, the place seems like "the end of the world": only a few campers and 2-3 windsurf rentals. Prasonisi is actually the meeting point of the Mediterranean with the Aegean. The first is rather calm and quiet, with flat water but the other one is extremely windy and with high waves. They are separated only by a strip of soft sand which is often overflown during winter time when the water levels are high enough, thus Prasonisi becoming a temporary island. As far as other facilities, I have only seem 2-3 motels and very few convenience stores and restaurants, which are open seasonally as far as I know.

Huge expanse of sand, had an entertaining time watching wind surfers etc. Worth the drive and s good day out. Only complaint was sunbed staff spent more time fondling their girlfriends and shouting on with their mates than attending to their work which meant you couldn't sleep above third racket so get a bed away from them.
