I rated this "excellent" as it is., without to rate organization which is nearly zero. Only parking garbage is taken occasionally and that should be all, unfortunately. As I said here and elsewhere Greeks should learn to take care, well pack and properly sell their natural treasures. Making basic but fully functional facilities, employing people and charging entrance are the only ways to properly maintain environment and protect nature. Waiting for government and it's structures could lead to a total destruction in this case. If it's to protect, everything should happen on local level even before any legal decisions are made, at all costs. It's not necessary to explain moral or other obligations to do that that, let alone benefits and profit.Critical: Trees are not protected! "Dry" roots are NOT DRY and are easily broken by walking people, there's so many of those going deeper and deeper in roots, trees and bushes just because proper sanitation is absent.. Warnings are not working but inviting people to come close.Kedrodasos is so unique, it deserves SO much more than this.

THe beach is on easy to find but it is one of the most beautiful i have ever visited. Totally unspoilled. The access is not very easy. You need to be equipped because it is not an organised beach. Alos some people do free camping there.

A bit off the beaten path, this beach is a great alternative to Elafonissi when the mid-day tour busses are there. It's a pack in, pack out beach, with lovely cedar trees, rock outcroppings for privacy, and crystal clear water. Great for nude bathing. It is not clear who is responsible for maintenance and, although the beach is very clean, the entry path could use some policing.

A very nice beach to visit and rest for a whole day! Take with you water or sandwiches and be prepared to stay for at least 8 hours under the shadow of a tree! It is a little bit difficult to reach but nevermind the view and the crystal clear waters will refund you!!

Follow the indications given by other reviewers. After leaving the car, you will walk down a path for 5/10 minutes. Then head to the left. At the back of the beach there are these juniper trees, but the beach is still very wide. The waters are crystalline. We went for a late afternoon swim, it was spectacular and very quiet, only a few people around and some tents (but at some distance from the beach).

In July 2014, we struggled looking for this "nudist beach".Thanks to this conversation, we decided to ask the locals to explain us where to go to reach this beach. We finally found someone who explained us this (and it was clear enough):When you go down to Elafonissos by car, after having passed many green-houses, you will get a sign on your left, to Sklavopoulos, take this direction. The road will then become a track; at the first intersection like a T, go left; a the second T intersection, go right, and then drive during around 1 or 2 kilometers, following the yellow arrows, until you reach a parking place. We were surprised to see all people with clothes; so at the end of the beach, we removed out clothes; a few hours later, another couple joined us naked as well.

This beach is close to elafonisi but it is much quieter and just as beautiful. It is difficult to find but if you turn off left on the dirt road signposted for paleochora before you reach elafonisi and look out for little yellow signposts you will eventually (after going through a lot of greenhouses!) reach a car park by a little stone hut. There is a path down to the beach from there. We went on a beautiful day in May and there were a total of ten people that I could see on the whole beach. The water is warm and calm and there are plenty of rocks to shelter behind if it is a bit breezy. Absolutely stunning! There are no sunbeds or cantinas so bring whatever you need and take your rubbish away with you - it is also a nature reserve due to the juniper trees that grow along the shoreline.

I went there this summer with a friend. It was many people around, many of them using it for a freecampingarea. We went away from the mainbeach and found a small bay where we were more or less alone, just slept on the beach with a sheet under us and a thin sleeping bag on top of us. The best with the area is that it is not very crowded and that it has several small beaches where you also can have some privacy. It is also a area were it is ok to be nude, and with clothes on, all after what suits you most..The area is also a kind of protected area as most of the trees there are cedar trees that are protected by the government. The beach is not so populated due to the fact that you either need to walk for half an hour or more or drive ten minutes on a bumpy dirtroad with bad signing. Just positive in my mind :-)

Rather congested around the rocks. Well placed though for local food and refreshment and sun loungers and umbrellas available.

Kedrodassos is one of the most beatiful beaches i have ever visited. Make sure to go on a day without many tourists, so that you can really fully enjoy. Big, sandy and with a wide shore (not as much as Falasarna though), you can hide below the shadow of one of the few trees and enjoy the waters that are green. Beware of not stepping on an "achino" since they tend to exist in clean sea waters like this -but you can clearly see and avoid them in the tranparent waters. No beach bar or chaise longs or any annoying sign of civilization, so make sure you have ice water with you to last all day long, because this is how long you will want to stay there!

I spend my holidays in Creta this August and I enjoyed it a lot.We have been in several places but this holidays were the best.Nothing to complain just best opinions. The best beach I ever saw was Kedrodasos. It was a little tricky the way to but we managed to go with the help of a native. The sea was so pure and the different colors in the same area just fantastic. There weren't any facilities near by but this was the best thing because the area had remain untouched. For those who love nature it was ideal.Din't miss it.

Cretan beaches are beautiful and unexplored !!Must visit for any traveller.a total of around 137 beaches, all are extremely lovely. Mountains and beaches go side by side giving the loveliest of views.

At last one unexploited beach in Crete! The white sand and the colour of water make this place exotic. Not very easy to find, not very easy to climb, this may be the reason so few people visit this place. I wonder however, what is this dump on the top???

We've liked:1. Extremely calm place to be, you can hear nothing but the sounds of nature!2. The vegetation, kedros (the name of the forest trees) is a very beautiful tree.3. Very clean and unspoiled waters. We didn't like:1. The root to the beach (do not go if your car isn't high enough for rough terrains)2. The beach its self, it was very rocky for our taste (this of course could be a bonus for someone who like fishing for example)Some more tips:There are also some free campers in the woods which seemed very happy of the place. We didn't see any water supply or anything to eat or drink near by so you probably need tobe prepared and have all the supplies you need especially if you intend to stay there for a long period of time. Finally, the pathway from were you leave the car to the beach isn't that difficult.
