Walk up Sporgasse pass the always fully packed bicycle racks. Admire the lovely buildings that accommodate a range of shops & eateries. A beautiful Gothic arcaded courtyard called Hof des deutschen Rittenordens is paved entirely with Murnockerl….cobblestones from the River Mur. This courtyard is stunningly beautiful!Further up Sporgsse is the Palais Sauerau built in 1566, its a 4 wing palace & if you take the time to look up you'll see sticking out & facing down from under the gable a Turkish Warrior. It's a figure shrouded in legend. In this area are some fine restaurants.

Going down the hill, we went down this road and saw many little shops and also other nteresting points, we even saw a hockey match by the Cathedral.

narrow hilly stret with lots of lovely little shops and nice places to eat. The bottom of the hill brings you out into the square with the two famous stucco buildings on the left. Street musicians entertain and snack stalls await too with cheeky little birds taking any crumbs they can find.

My husband and I have been to Graz many times and one of our favorite places to people watch is on Sporgasse at a cafe with a glass of wine. It is a great street with lots of sweet little shops and it is a lovely place to spend the afternoon strolling and window shopping (or actual shopping)!

Just a step away from Hauptplatz, this street is full of historical buildings and great architecture. The beautiful facades all along Sporgasse will take your breath away. Charming little street with lots of shopping opportunities and on the way to more beautiful streets of this wonderful Austrian town Graz.

A charming little street in the middle of town with a great variety of shops that are not touristy but popular with the locals. All sorts of things for sale, and food and drink available, too.
